One of the leakers who worked on set said he was part of filming 4 separate endings and there may be even more. One of them is so utterly ridiculous so almost guaranteed that's the one that happens.

I read the guy who leaked last week and knew everything that happened and how it happened. Read the ending he said was going to happen. Will be interesting to see if he is right.

But I don't think people will be happy no matter what.

They should have thrown in another cut to the editing... Trump would be thanking FOX news for the dragon's death in the last episode... hmmhaaahaaaa

If you are a book reader, you’ll hate it. If you’re just a show-goer, it won’t be bad. Just don’t go through this thread. It’ll ruin it for you.

The show overall is great.

I read the first book. They are awesome. Keen to read the others but many other things in front. However I also loved the first 3 seasons of the show. I think it went down a gear when the Imp got his act together. He was amongst my all time favourite fictional characters for 3 years.

I had no clue Joffrey was that boy in Batman Begins.

Side note, I feel bad for the actor that plays Joffrey. He's pretty much completely given up acting besides plays because GoT fanatcics can't separate the show from reality and gave him so much hate IRL. Same with the actor that played Olly, apparently.

Had no idea Varys was in Suits.

The showrunners would have you believe it is. It is not.

Although I would suggest that if half the "leaks" out there came true it just might be an epic last 2 episodes. (Plus characters and theories we'd like to see before it ends)

If it makes you feel any better, I don't think it was so much about the hate but more that he much prefers the industry surrounding stage acting to film. The interviews I've seen with him he seems to have a pretty good sense of humor about the Joffery notoriety.

What do y'all think about Dany going mad as a plot? I've got a guy claiming that it makes no sense, meanwhile I actually like it as part of her arc. Girl goes from being a marriage pawn, to Khaleesi, all the while demanding that the throne is her birthright. She wins many people over to her side because they think she will be a good ruler.

But it turns out that she's not, and becomes a mad tyrant like her father. I like it

Nobody makes logical choices on the show anymore, including all of Dany's closest advisors and friends. I would go mad too.

Prior to her "Please Don't Tell Anyone" scene with Jon in the last episode, there was quite a bit of evidence that they were trying to make her *look* like a potential Mad Queen, while actually giving evidence that she was NOT going in that direction.

Every time she had someone burned, from the slave masters of Yunkai to Randall and Dickon Tarley, it was supposed to look like foreshadowing that she was going to be a "burn them all" type of ruler, like her father. However, unlike her father, there were acceptable strategic and martial purposes to her burnings. Aerys would burn people for fun, basically, while Dany was using it as a legitimate means of accomplishing militaristic goals.

There were quite a few other instances over her character arc where she could have gone full "Let's Just Burn it All," but she remained calm and collected and handled things like a legit ruler, instead, deferring to her generals and aides rather than just unleashing the dragon fire at all times.

Of course, there were plenty of instances of aggressive pouting about "Muh Birthright," but she generally always reigned it in.

I think the previous episode was used to show a rapid deterioration of her previous self control.

In 4 episodes what I have learned is to expect the safest and quickest line from point A to B. Her going mad would be a "convenient" way for Jon to kill her while locking in the Bittersweet ending.

Turns out her best bet would have been to take Kings Landing with 3 dragons and then take out the Dead. Her downfall was saving Jon Snow. Would the dead have even gotten past the wall without the zombie dragon? I blame Jon for her downfall. I blame JS for the dead getting past and through the wall.

Jon was resurrected by a women and then saved by a women at the expense of her dragon. And then when it came time for Jon to ride with her to KL he was nowhere to be found and it was his dragon that he should have been riding that died at KL. Too many people have died and sacrificed for Jon to be where he is. Luckiest bastard on the show.

Winterfell has the only Starbucks in Westeros, while Kings Landing is prone to move around without explanation. When Dany needed to decide which city to prioritize, there was no contest. #Caffeine4tehQueen

It feels like the shownlies have held out hope until the past two episodes, now bookies and shownlies are slowly merging in opinion.

Episodes 5 and 6 will unite the two forces into one voice: "Bring me their heads!"

Weiss and Benioff better go somewhere they can't be extradited for murder. They've truly killed the most beloved franchise in the history of television.

Lol. I'm sure you have a really great list of shows you love but GOTs has been the most popular show ever. I've never seen a show dominate popular culture/workplace discussions, etc like GOT.

I loved The Wire, first season of True Detective and Newsroom but none of those beat GOT in viewership.

I misread your other post, was considering quality of the show. Although I do enjoy GOT very much. It's funny, hardly anyone I work with or am friends with actually watch the show, so it just doesn't feel that significant to me. I'm sure that's more of a generational/cultural thing where I'm at. It's obviously all over the internet.
