Realistically, how can Cersei be defeated? She has numbers and a fantastic dragon defense. I'm sure the show will find a way to take her down... but she should win 9 out of 10 times.

Dany is gonna fly straight up until she can’t breathe and until Drogon has no air resistance with which to fight gravity...

Then she’s gonna drop straight down into the middle of the Red Keep’s walls from above, and dracarys all those big ass ballistae before they can swivel.

Good stuff.
More happened than I thought.
I hate we lost a dragon, but wasn't really looking forward to seeing Jon ride again anyway.

Not too much to complain about. Still shit use of dragons. Why not attack the fleet from the rear. CL can turn out 20+ giant cross bows but WF couldn't make one for last week.

I called Messandei last word to my buddies real time.

Glad Arya and the Hound are back together. Some of my favorite moments are those two.
Tormund is definitely coming South. Sansa and BoT too. Glad JL is heading back too. No way he's not a part of the KL ending.

I would be shocked if we saw Tormund in anything other than an epilogue type scene. What makes you think he still has a role to play. Seems like they didn't kill him off last episode and highlighted him this episode because they are probably considering a wildling spinoff thing with him as the lead. I could see it.

Dany is gonna kill Jon. I’ve never felt more sure of anything in my GoT life.

He’s a Targ that lost his dragon.
He’s a Stark going south.
He said his goodbyes to his two best friends.
He’s ignoring the wishes of his true family.
He’s in love with a chick that has a family history of mental illness.
He’s in love with a chick that will win the war, but will feel betrayed by everyone anyway.
The show runners say they’re staying off the Internet after the finale, leading me to believe that they’re killing off the most deserving and beloved character.

I just don’t know how she’s gonna do it. Knife in the back, or dragon fire?

Not feeling it. Everything is being pushed forward haphazardly. Bran still sucks. Euron still sucks. Jaime sucks (although I think he'll redeem himself and be the one to kill Cersei). At least Tyrion and Varys are useful again. I guess Bran really did just fly worthless ravens around the Night Kings head, about which we will never get an explanation.

That would be crazy in terms of shock value but it would so flipping stupid. For a show that has turned into complete fan service to kill off the one character everyone loves who WAS ALREADY KILLED OFF ONCE is dumb.

She literally can’t kill him without losing all the kingdoms + wildling support.

Theories that gained credence:

Varys is going to sit on the Iron Throne
Jon or someone kills Dany because she goes mad
Bran made Aegon go crazy
Jaime kills Cersei

Theories that went away:

Evil Bran
Ned is alive (don't see how they have time for this)

I could see Jon killed, again.... but this time coming back in fire which I believe was a theme earlier. And/or I can see Dany's dragon turning on her for the sake of Jon.

In short, Dany won't be on the throne when it all ends, and I just don't see her succeeding killing Jon (for real). I could see him killing her though.

I would be shocked if we saw Tormund in anything other than an epilogue type scene. What makes you think he still has a role to play. I just don't think the wildlings abandon Jon after the fleet is screwed. next week will have a desperate moment and someone to show up unexpectedly. with all the politics going on with Dany and John, Jon will have someone show up to for him.

Any chance Dario and the second sons show up?

My buddy said the same thing after the fleet got smashed. i don't see it though.

I think the owners driving the dragons are stupid. not the dragons.

I listed several of those earlier.
I still think Bran has a part to play. Not that he's evil, I just don't think they'll end without playing up more lore if only to hype the spin offs.

She literally can’t kill him without losing all the kingdoms + wildling support.

That won’t matter to her at that point, because she’ll be going crazy about perceived betrayal and the threat to her birthright.

That became clear to me when she started begging Jon to take the knowledge of his claim and hide it.

Also, it would fit the “nobody wins” ending that many have theorized and that GRRM may or may not have endorsed.

Sansa is either gonna kill Cersei to fulfill the Volanqar prophecy in an unexpected way, or Arya is gonna kill Sansa when Sansa orchestrates a betrayal of Dany (probably with Varys) that puts Jon in danger.

Arya needs to shut some green eyes, still, and Cersei and Sansa both have them.

All the Sansa, Arya, Jon, Dany theories of who's killing who is great.
Sansa seems just as capable of going bonkers as Dany.

I could see Varys attempting to kill Dany too, or even Tyrion coming to that conclusion as well. I'd still prefer the lightbringer story line.

A Baratheon started on the throne, and one will end up there at the end of episode 6.

I like how Jon made his sisters swear to not tell anyone and Sansa tells Tyrion that very day. Lol

They wasted the first 20 minutes of that episode on a party scene.

If this really is the last we see of BoT, Sam, Tormund, etc...they would've been better off killing them in the last episode.

I was shocked by the dragon dying.

I was annoyed with how Euron's fleet stayed in one location, Tyrion and others washed up on one shore, yet Missandei (alive) gets captured (off screen). That made no sense. At least show Euron's crew advancing on them and capturing her. Seemed lazy.

Also, no offense to Peter D., but that scene where the boats are being attacked with missile arrows and Tyrion is trying to avoid them was the most ridiculous scene I've watched. It felt so unnatural and scrpited. "Go here, duck, turn around, react, go here, jump, go here duck, jump off ship."

Varys and Tyrion's convo was great. That chess playing is exactly why I love this show.

Danny gon' mad. Burn them all.

If Jaime (truly) is breaking bad again (I think he''ll come around one last time and kill Cersei)

Then...
This gives life to the theory that Arya steals Jaime's face, while still fulfilling the role of Valonqar.

(This would also mean that Arya gets NK and Cersei kills, and I feel like that won't happen).

Dany is going down the path of madness. Someone could ask Bran to go back to investigate the Mad King's demise and determine what similarities he had to the way Dany is acting. The main issue that came out of this episode is essentially "should Dany be Queen"?

I think Jaime mostly wants to try and save his child and knows he may get killed in the process so he was an asshole to Brienne to try and save her some pain if he dies.

If Dany is going Mad, doesn't it stand to reason that it's truly genetic, and not just a 1-time intervention by Bran that causes the Mad King to go insane?

Yes, but two people who are related can be crazy without it being a genetic connection.

I'm not saying it's going to happen, I just think it's still a theory with some legs.

I don't think that's the case. I think he's going to deal with Cersei, and was saying all of either:
A) As illustration of atonement he needs to do.
B) As a general "breakup" tactic, or however you want to phrase it.

Jaime is going to deal with Cersei. He's acting like a POS so Briene doesn't follow him bc he knows it's most likely a suicide mission.
