We only got like 3” of snow—far cry from what they were originally calling for…but they nailed it on the forecast. It’s -9 right now with a wind chill of -34. Crazy.
Where are you at?

Zionsville - maybe 3 inches, cold and windy, but hardly any sort of major storm… having lived through the blizzard of 78, it takes a lot to impress me, and this ain’t it.

Gonna be 18 down here at the edge of america. Don’t recall it ever being that cold here before in the nearly 40 years I’ve lived here.

I remember it well. It came down fast and heavy. Got stuck at the in-laws for a few days.

3” -8 just west of south bend. Would be dangerous cold if slid off the road or had a car issue so trying to stay in all day. What level of jerk would it be to order pizza or door dash in this weather?

As someone that delivered pizzas for a time during HS/college, our biggest days were inclement weather days. I remember people ordering in droves one time during a tornado watch/severe weather outbreak.

It’s been low 60s in the day to mid 30s at night,… feels great all things considered. Hockey jersey weather

It’s sunny and windy here. Still only about 25 degrees. I think a planter fell off the porch. May it rest in pieces.

Agreed. I’m in northern middle TN. We are on 15 min rolling black outs from TVA.
I just saw TVA is doing 30 minutes rolling blackouts here in NW Alabama. It was 2* this morning on my drive in to work, with -10 wind chills. Pretty frigid for us.

Pretty strange, I also had never heard or lake effect snow here on the river, but evidently it’s a thing. Last time I had that in my life was Elkhart, In. back in the 80’s and 90’s.

Got down to 5 here in SE Tennessee. High of 15. Coldest I can remember in 20 years. You guys who live up north are nuts.

Balmy -12 this AM in St Paul.

No such thing as cold weather, just poor dress. Then again, I am an alpine climbing fanatic/gear nerd so, this is prime cold weather gear testing weather. I feel bad for my poor dog who goes on my gear testing walks with me.

Our perceptions of temperature amaze me. Many years ago, I was on a business trip in Chicago.

I recall the temperature was around 36F. Not a big deal for a Canadian and I was staying at an airport hotel for the first night.

No taxi wanted to take me as they were in a line for downtown Chicago. No big deal as I could walk the mile or so to the Hyatt. Boy, was I wrong! I had hardly left O'Hare and I thought I was a goner. That humid wind was a killer!

I think I paid $80 USD for fare to the airport hotel. One of the best decisions I have made.

Cheers and Go Irish!!
