I guess the bright spot is that since they are an invasive species that cold spell should help mitigate the problem some.

Northeast Kingdom is beautiful! Never experienced it with -45 wind chill however.
Absolutely! Gorgeous country. We ended up checking out Bolton that day. Not sure if that counts as Northern Kingdom, but the conditions were phenomenal! I've always passed it up for the bigger resorts, but I'll definitely be going back. Highly recommend.

Not really Northeast Kingdom but Bolton is one of my favorite mountains in New England. A throwback, with groovy terrain and great backcountry stuff if you're into that. The secret is that it's west-facing and gets a lot of lake effect snow from Lake Champlain.

One of the weather forecasts has my town getting 40 inches of snow. Have lived in this shore town the last 3 years and the 2 previous to this we got maybe a couple of inches of snow once or twice. Just been a brutal winter

Currently sitting in my office as I dispatch crews for this "mild lake effect" event that has dropped 6 inches since 10pm. As someone who has been involved in snow removal for 25 years now, I hate snow.

We saw upper 60s a week ago and had new green grass growing in the yard in Montana. Now it's -6. This is Canada getting revenge for that Olympic hockey game.

The skiers and riders on this board appreciate the shit out of your work. Thanks for letting us get to the mountains and back home safely!
