Aren't you in Cali? Why would you guys ever close down the pool?

I'm at the edge of the San Bernardino Mountains,... Even with the solar cover on, the pool gets down to low 50s, high 40s in the winter... It's now back up to 65 and climbing...

I guess I'm overly broad in my criterion for 'swimmable.' Is it liquid? Go for it.

So the flip side of this bs is hitting. It's been upwards of 105 here and to have any chance at sleep tonight I just had to dive into the pool to cool off...... At 10:00 at night... It's freakin hot guys

It was about 102 here is Las Cruces, NM. Triple digits expected the next 4 days.

Funny thing is I lived in Indiana when this thread was made, pushed me out of Indiana. Las Cruces sucks though.

Did you expect anything different? Ll

Yes, sort of. I knew the city itself sucked. The closest sports teams are the New Mexico State Aggies (sucks), UTEP (who?), and probably the most popular around here is the El Paso Chihuahuas minor league baseball team. I used to live 15 min from South Bend and 2 hours from Chicago. Everybody is Cowboys fan or Steelers fan with a sprinkle of Broncos fans. Spurs are popular.

Bad for Sports, good for meth though.

I live here in EL Paso and this heat sucks.

Interesting posts!

I couldn't imagine going into the winter planning on not running the heat "24X7!"

Our summer has been freaky. Anyone else in the boat with 20 to 30 degree swings in temperature between one day and the next?

We have had a fair passel of rain, which has dampened the softball, but otherwise kept things green and growing.

Weather is noted to change every fifteen minutes, however.

Big news is that our Erie plankton growth is back. Well founded sources are that the city is about to call another water emergency! We will see . . .

Currently 59 with a high of 75 in MI today. I hate a lot about this state but I do enjoy the weather.

Day six of 100 + today. I don't think my A/C has shut off for more than ten minutes since Saturday night. It's too hot to do anything outside.

Why do people live in places like this? I don't understand.

Re read the thread from the beginning...

When they invent an air-conditioning-equipped suit that doesn't require a battery, let me know. In the meantime, I'm going to keep enjoying four seasons in which I can leave the house comfortably during the day and sleep comfortably at night. Until then, it's just a couple cold snaps vs. months of lava hot humid agony.

Nothing is better than taking a little Latin mamacita to a local mex joint, ordering a margarita, some chips and salsa, a Chile Relleno plate all while rocking a US Soccer shirt...

There are times when I love California.

(Our seafood is pretty damn bomb too, closer to cajun than northern I suppose, which I'm not a fan of, I like heat and spice.)

LOL. I feel the same way about MN November through March.

Apparently you've never been to MN. November through March are the best months, when MN becomes a No Fly Zone. Ice build up on their wings keeps the black flys grounded.

I don't really like MN weather, but I'm in MI now, and it's just so temperate. I'm also originally from Ohio and that has the best spring/fall weather.
