Anyone on the site ever set up their own travel soccer team/club? I'm in the process of doing so, as the politics and nonsense are off the charts in our current org.

I played in one when I was younger but I don't think there is anything more tribal in American sports than travel soccer teams. Good luck avoiding it because parents are nuts about their kids, particularly those that pay a bunch of money to the club .

I'm taking back control. I have a bunch of parents(enough to field our own U-11 girls team next fall) that are sick of the overpriced, poor service, bullsht right now.

Liverpool just needs time for the signings to gel. They were only a point or so ahead of where they are now last season, I think I heard. They were a step away from 4 goals against Everton. And it's a different team with Sturridge in the lineup. Just look at the Tottenham game. I still think they can make a run at the league. Although to be fair Chelsea looks pretty unbeatable this season.

In other news, Madrid is already down a goal in its Champs League game. Yikes.

Pro-tip: Mute/turn off your speakers before you start clearing adds. A female voice provocatively saying something like,"Do you like boys or girls?" coming from your work space/office is no bueno. Just in case (tm).

Ha! AdBlock seems to take care of that for me. I was making a joke about the obscene scoreline.

A lot of people, including Jamie Carragher, seem to agree that Liverpool should line up as described here, with Sterling as a lone striker:

It's an interesting idea. Using a small, quick dude with boundless energy as a lone striker is certainly working for Man City right now. Aguero notched four against Tottenham this weekend ( a couple were PKs, but still).
