Holy cow, I just caught up on that Max Maisel story... just terrible.
The number of cord-cutters is extremely small. Subscriber loss is more due to cord-nevers. It's not cable customers dropping their packages, it's millenials who aren't signing up for cable in the first place. That's the purpose of SlingTV and other "light" packages. Regardless, live sports is the last haven for advertisers, since it's the only content out there that's relatively immune to time-shifting (DVR and on-demand).Do tell. I think the premise is sound.
