The weather is going to impact both passing offenses. And we all know what Golden does against a one dimensional team...

Fortunately, ND is not dependent on it (for this game). I heard the heads at II discuss it and agree, expect a healthy dose of Leonard as long as the game is on question. That read option game will be utilized plenty. I hope we take a couple shots up the seem with Evans and Raridon as those safeties and backers cheat the run.

I know I’m more biased as an IU fan, but I’ve watched all IU and ND games this year, and IUs offensive play calling has clearly looked better than NDs! The passing in particular! Cig and OC Shannahan have things clicking! They lost to OhSht due to 2 bad ST plays, but did move the ball well against them early on especially in the run game!
The Irish playcalling has been suspect! They rely too much on the run, which has worked well for them! Nothing frustrates me more though than 3rd and long runs! If IU can contain Leonard and Love in the run game while forcing Leonard to throw downfield, IU will have a good chance at a W.
The way ND could beat IU is in the short passing game mixed with 1st down runs to keep the IU offense off the field! Mitchell Evans could have a field day if he gets paired on a smaller db!

All in all, I think it will be a close, high scoring game with home run plays each way! Whoever has the ball last may win!

The OSU game was effectively decided by two special teams plays, but OSU dominated throughout and would have won regardless. The difference in the game was your offensive line struggled to protect teh QB and couldn't get any movement in the run game. Even without the two short fields and the punt return, I think OSU would have driven the field and the final score would have looked similar but the stat line would have been far more lopsided with OSU outgaining IU 400+ yards to 150.

As frustrating as a third-and-long run can be from a fan's perspective, I completely understand why Denbrock does it. Over the past 10 weeks, we've played with the lead for most of the game. These are low-percentage passing situations for ND's offense, and running minimizes the risk of turnovers. If we're around midfield on 3rd 10 and one of our backs gains 7-9 yards, it sets up a high-percentage 4th and short conversion. Worst-case scenario, we punt and force the opposing team to drive the length of the field against our defense. ND wins with complimentary football. Overall, you're right, stop the run and make Leonard beat you on 3rd and long. That's everyone's plan until they actually have to stop Love, Price and Leonard.

If ND can pressure Rourke the way OSU did, there's no need to even debate whether IU's run defense can stop ND's run game. OSU has 35 sacks this season compared to ND's 30, but ND has 42 quarterback pressures to OSU's 19 (based on what I found online). OSU has more experience and individual talent on the edges but Mills and a healthy Cross should dominate the interior of your offensive line. I guess we'll find out.

I can’t help but get my hopes up with all the analysts actually giving Notre Dame a legit chance at not only making it to the final game but some firmly believe they have a shot at winning this thing. I’m starting to believe and that’s a dangerous feeling….
If we had Troare and Morrison maybe

IU played two defenses. They didn’t do anything significant against either. ND’s defense is on par with those. I expect Al to shut them down after the first drive.

There's now 1300 listings for the game on Seat Geek.

I'm actually sick to my stomach for my wife's family for paying what they did last weekend. They were in such a rush to get tickets when the game got announced, that they paid essentially triple.

I'm also nervous about getting the tickets. When should we expect mobile tickets to get transferred?

My biggest concern is the punishment the bathroom toilet is going to take next Saturday morning. I'm staying in an unfamiliar place. What happens if it clogs? Will there be a plunger? Will it be two ply? Im guessing no bidet, but believe me, one is appreciated in these circumstances. Only certainty is the volume coming out. Wish me luck.

Bring your abacus and a visor. Crunch the numbers and I am sure it will work out. Maybe if your lucky the numbers will only ever be 1 until your home celebrating a victory.

Actually plungers with Brian Kelly’s face on the plunging end would be popular in south bend.

I got my mobile tickets (through the alumni lottery) transferred yesterday.

Thanks. Hopefully that means third party transfers will be on the way soon. We purchased through Stub Hub and all it says in the confirmation email is that tickets will arrive by Thursday.

Ticket prices keep dropping. ND fans are selling out. There will be more Indiana fans there than there should.
All of my connects to tickets have all sold them. I have a long list of friends that I have only because of their ties to the university and their tickets. All sold.

I know more ND fans going to this one than I have for any other game over the years. I think it’s ND fans shelling out the dough with a few IU certainly sprinkled in

One thing that's understated is how the home schedule sucked this year. A lot of people are probably like me, not really wanting to track down tickets for any of the home games in the regular season.

Just because people are selling doesn’t mean it’s Indiana getting them I’m assuming by it will be 30% IU fans

What is the $$ payout to teams in these games? Does ND have to share with anyone, or just take it all back to the vault under the Dome?

Sold to other ND fans or they sold out for top dollar online?

30% would be a little over 23k IU fans. That seems crazy high. Ohio St maybe got there last year, but i don’t think there is anyway IU can when you break down the math.

Original allotment of 3,500 which includes band and coach’s/player’s families. There’s ~1-2k that’s actually hit the secondary market online. Even if you assume IU fans purchased 100% of those secondary tickets, they would have had to buy 18k more tickets through ND season ticket holders/alums through backchannels and that ain’t happenin. I just think that’s virtually impossible.

I think IU could MAYBE get to 10k fans, but that still may be tough for them with the scarcity of tickets.
