Only thing that initially worries me about this matchup is that Ohio St shit on them because of their huge advantage in the passing game. We don't have anything close to the same skill set they have on the perimeter

Georgia board is speculating that beck might have a UCF injury. And thorsten a lag injury

The Red is gonna to pop in the stadium but I think ND fans will hold on to their seats. I think we crush them personally, ND will out physical them

If it's a sea of red it is a huge indictment of the ND fanbase/administration. The fact that we are even discussing the possibility is appalling. These invasions do not happen at OSU, Texas, Georgia, etc.

Smaller alumni population that is more spread out and local fans are priced out.

Definitely harder (and much more expensive) for the average ND fan to make it to a high-profile game on less than two weeks' notice
It was three weeks notice this year. Certainly more notice than IU fans would have had that they are going to SB. And Chicago/MI/OH have a large number of ND alums/fans within a few hours' drive.

A lot of us have been discussing the Friday/Saturday conundrum and finally just found out. Now I'm gonna have to take an extra day off from work

The smaller alumni population and being spread out have always been true, but the invasions didn't happen before the post-1996 decline in the program.

Prices might be a good explanation.
I think the "invasions" have been overblown. It definitely happened against Georgia in 2017 but to a much lesser extent against Ohio State last year. There aren't many other games where this has been a major problem

Louisville 2014 I would say. Texas 2015. And UGA/OSU are two of the biggest home games we've played in the past few years. Those are exactly the games where we would expect it to happen and it happened. Compare that to when we played at UGA or OSU. Very few ND fans.

I just looked up tickets for Ohio St. vs Tennessee and the least expensive still available is $327 and the most expensive is $3,257.

I thought the College Football Playoff organization had some control about ticket distribution for all games but I could be wrong. Sugar Bowl tickets are cheaper than the game on the 20th
