Agree 100%. Lot's of sub stories. I think the left sjw mob will basically say F the women. Most left female politicians will likely side with the women. The left ultra woke (like the squad) will likely side with the trans. Would love to see the question get asked at one of the dem debates

So much better,... but I also grew up really poor and as a consequence have a bit of that Ruby Payne gene in me that just doesn't allow me to purchase some things if I view it as just too expensive and flights are in that box. Premium Economy / Comfort Plus / whateverthehell is where it's at. Unfortunately the flight I do more than any other is Providence or Hartford to Orlando and the only airline running that route consistently is Southwest.

The "luxury" (it's not really) that I've gotten used to is booking a hotel right near/at the airport the night prior to a flight. They usually have a stay-and-park deal that's not too much more than what you'd pay for parking by itself in the first place.

I'm talking in general. That said, I like to get on first, especially when I'm flying first/bus class so I can chill, break out the laptop and work, and have a cocktail before the flight takes off. It's a nice 30+ minutes.

When I was 20 me and a buddy backpacked through Europe for 5 months. Camped a bunch, hostels, hitchhiked, etc... Flew standby with United with tickets from my aunt. Waited over 24 hours in the Frankfurt airport for our flight. Got bumped up to Business class for the flight home. Greatest 9 hours of my life.

Airlines should charge full price for a human being no matter the age. It would deter parents from traveling with young children. I am not a parent yet, but it seems to me that there are very few situations where a parent absolutely has to fly with their infant child. That trip to Disneyland can wait until your kids are all 4 years old. If Aunt Dolly wants to see you at Christmas she can fly to you.

On my last flight to Eastern Europe (Vienna with a stopover in Paris), a baby across the aisle screamed most of the way. I have great tolerance in everyday life, but it was excruciating. The first hour I felt sorry for the mother and baby. After that, it was just torture. Everyone around us starting plying themselves with liquor. I did too, but it really didn't help. As soon as anybody would nod off, the crying would begin again.. I can tell you what I felt had nothing to do with isolation or inconvenience. To add salt to the wound, had a typical awful experience at De Gaulle before finally leaving for Vienna. I've been on a ton of hops with crying babies that didn't bother me, but even the most understanding and tolerant have limits.

Had to go to Vegas with a connecting flight out of Detroit. Flight was delayed 4 hours while they replaced the fuel gauge, so we're off to a good start. At another gate nearby, there was a young couple with two kids around a 1 - 1 1/2 year s old. The kids were screaming and crying the entire time. They made no attempt to calm them. I thought how unfortunate for anyone that has to fly with them. Yep, not only were they on my flight, they sat right across the aisle from me and I was in an aisle seat. For the entire four hours they cried, threw tantrums and toys and constantly kicked the seat in front of them. The guy in front of them turned around and looked a few times, but never lost his cool. The parents never apologized. Finally they are serving food and I'm thinking the kids will quiet down, nope they would smack the food way. In case you haven't figured it out yet, the fell asleep as we started our descent.

I have no problem with people reclining their seats. It's a pain for the person behind you, but they have the right. The guy that kept hitting the seat of front of him should have had his ass kicked.

Yup, parents that basically ignore their kids' shit really piss me off. I seen that several times too. Just like some parents at the grocery store... And parents that let their kids run around in the aisle really irritate the F out of me. I had a 2-3 year old kid sitting next to me last year down to Naples, and his mom was awesome in terms of keeping him in line. She packed snacks, books, etc to keep him entertained and was well prepared. The kid was pretty awesome and funny too. Actually had fun and let him wear my headphones. He liked Van Halen.

I have no problem with people reclining either. I fly Delta most, and typically in 1st or comfort plus, but even in economy it doesn't bother me. I typically have my laptop out and can still function just fine. It's not like the seat reclining is touching you or something. While I might have to slide my laptop closer an inch or so, it doesn't impact the my ability to work. I've typically got my headphones on and paying attention to my computer screen. The Sky Breezes also help lol.

BTW, Detroit connections suck.

Some female athletes and their families in Connecticut are suing over policies that allow trans boys to compete in female sports and "robs female athletes of opportunities because of the physical advantages of males." State law, school policies, and (not surprisingly) the ACLU are defending the policies, which are certainly disadvantageous to actual female athletes. How much further into this nonsense do we have to descend?

Children under 2 are free only if they're going to share a seat with their parent.

I prefer taking my children with me on vacations and I don't arrange family holidays based on the convenience of another passenger on the same flight.

My point is that you can take whatever vacation you want with whomever you want but I think parents should have to pay for a seat for the child. There is no moral reason that an infant should be able to fly free. You can choose to bring your kid, and you should pay for that choice. That's just my opinion.

You're not putting a baby in a seat by themselves. That's a safety issue. IF you bring a car seat that can fit on the airplane seat for the baby, then they make you pay for the seat.
