I love the smell of bulls*** in the morning. People pretending to have info when they don't. Nothing worse then "I have information but not telling". Get off your high horse and stop being a jackass. TP started a great thread, keep it going with great convo. NDinLA is far more gracious then he needs to be so enough with pushing his buttons. Time for NDinLA to lay the Shana-ban!

Seriously, get over #19. It's pathetic at this point. Acting like you were stood up at prom. Boo hoo. Grab your sack, make sure its still there, poke your abdomen to make them drop if you have to and act like a damn adult.

If you have something, share it. If you can't, keep your mouth shut.

Pretty harsh comments-and they result in a ban (maybe some other things factored into the ban as well-what do I know). The double standard strikes again-I mean, I certainly enjoy this thread, but TP lays out some other ambiguous comments that can lead on anywhere (and has done so in the past). When this other guy does the same-granted, in a different tone - the sh!t flies. Then we have the love-hate relationship going on with AL that causes people to "lose it". Good player, now gone-what a disappointment. But to spaz out at the mention of him.?.

WELLBUTRIN-THORAZINE anyone?

You need to follow along better. The poster that got banned, as I said in an above post, has been banned twice under a different username. He's a troll. I actually agreed with some (SOME) of what he said, but he just does it to get a rise out of people. He's an OSU fan - there was no double standard; the banning was well-earned...

As far as Davaris Daniels, the kid is a stud. It will be impossible to keep him off the field.

He would have looked better if some of our QBs could throw him better balls. I remember one play in particular where he absolutely EMBARRASSED Josh Atkinson, but the QB threw an awful ball so it didn't really matter.

Davaris is also working with a hamstring problem. He will be fine. The staff has spoken very highly of the young man.

TP did you see Goody before his injury and how does Davaris and him stack up?

Off the chart athleticism and a good route runner....holy sh!t.

Thanks Beau. Reps.

I'm not saying all his route running is great, but he definitely knows how to leave a DB in his dust.

Here's my honest opinion of how the pieces will fall into place (havent read most other posts so sorry if theres overlap):
1) Rees and Hendrix will split duties this fall. Kelly will not commit to one and say they work different packages, which is true, but he does not want another qb situation ala last year.
2) Golson will transfer because of 1, and the presence of a Gunner Kiel lerking over his shoulder. Disappointing but unfortunately I am relatively confident about 2 if 1 happens.
3) If our DLine is healthy this fall and no one else prominent transfers, it will not miss a beat. Kona has emerged this spring, Nix has dominated the Rode drills on film, and Tuitt is legit. KLM will be a vet looking to get a good draft grade so hell play well, and Hounshell and Day will be solid rotation guys.
4) Look for Ishaq to frequently play with his hands in the dirt. He will be an OLB but dont be surprised to see him lined up at DE in a 4-3 scheme like he was this year.
5) Manti will win the Butkus. Healthy year and a good DLine should help his cause.
6) GAIII will see limited time at first and will struggle in his first few games but will make big strides by the end of the year.
7) Zaire will decommit. Bad gut feeling on this one.

1) Rees and Hendrix will split duties this fall. Kelly will not commit to one and say they work different packages, which is true, but he does not want another qb situation ala last year. DISAGREE. I think Kelly is waiting for Golson to act like a leader
2) Golson will transfer because of 1, and the presence of a Gunner Kiel lerking over his shoulder. Disappointing but unfortunately I am relatively confident about 2 if 1 happens. DISAGREE, but I don't think 1 happens.
Agree. It will not be as good as it would have been, but it will still be better, which is saying a lot.
4) Look for Ishaq to frequently play with his hands in the dirt. He will be an OLB but dont be surprised to see him lined up at DE in a 4-3 scheme like he was this year. AGREE
5) Manti will win the Butkus. Healthy year and a good DLine should help his cause. GOOD CHANCE If he stays healthy. Great year either way. The daily media dislikes ND, but stodgy old voters like giving awards to good kids, when justifiable
6) GAIII will see limited time at first and will struggle in his first few games but will make big strides by the end of the year. AGREE, the coaches will struggle to utilize him and something will eventually click
7) Zaire will decommit. Bad gut feeling on this one.Haha! AGREE for some reason. Seems a little too good to be true amidst all the negativity. Hope we're wrong, he's a great kid and a great athlete.

My thoughts...

There's a rumor that ND is going to play football in the fall, and that we might have some good players on the team. Kudos to TP for substantiating that rumor. It's nice to hear commentary on people who will be playing in a Notre Dame uniform. [I'm not using sarcasm font because the level of irritation in certain threads rapidly moves one beyond mere sarcasm].

As to our O-Line: It could well be that Coach will end up staring ZMartin Watt Cave NMartin [who has gotten more week-by-week positive mentions by Kelly than almost anyone --- unsolicited positive mentions often --- about his aggression and mean streak] and Lombard. It may be NMartin who cannot be kept off the field, and Lombard the clearly next best lineman to step in, which fixes the line in form. If so, we will probably have a true second line ready if anyone slips. They are looking to [maybe] be Nichols behind Lombard, Golic behind NMartin, Hegarty behind Cave, Prestwood behind ZMartin, and maybe Hanratty behind Watt, or Golic crosstraining as both guard back-up.

Out at receiver,I think that Kelly waved a tearful goodbye to Big Mike and knew that it was creativity time. Joyfully he found that he had just the right personnel for a VERY creative "solution" to the No Floyd crisis --- Two TE sets of All-America quality TEs, plus wildly confusing interchanges between Slot/RB personnel, using astonishingly good playmakers [Robbie, GAIII, Riddick, Wood, and coming-to-a-backfield-near-you Carlisle].

All of a sudden, an offense worried about receiving threats has Eifert roaming and terrorizing all over the field, and highly elusive pass-catching and YAC maniacs striking unpredictably from slot, backfield, strange alignments and motions, with lots of antacid for opposing DCs stomachs. Four receivers [two TEs and two slot/RB hybrids] striking downfield with terrible match-up problems. But what about "traditional" WRs? Whenever we are in the two TE mode, there is ONLY one of them. And we have a fine starter, TJ, returning. Kelly has "fixed" this so that if NONE of Daniels, Goodman, Smith, nor the talented freshmen panned out [probably some will be just fine], we will STILL terrorize the DBs and LBs with, for example, Eifert, Koyack, TJ, Toma, and one of the "roaming" uber-talented hybrids striking five-strong downfield. I'm stunned by Kelly's ability to adapt to give us more than a good chance to roll.

I'm not following on the Zaire panic. From what I can tell, it mostly stems from a quote in which he said he was 100% committed. I know he seemed to hedge a little, but the kid is a junior in high school, not a white shoe litigator. I doubt he was thinking about the neuroses of the fan base as he was choosing his words.

i agree this young man sounds like he is all ND. If not i doubt he would recruit the way he has been.

Yeah, what did he say exactly? I couldn't read the article because I'm not a Rivals subscriber but it didn't seem like anything to worry about to me either. Is the issue that he said his commitment level is "100% at this point"? If so, that doesn't necessarily mean that he foresees being less than 100% committed at some point in the future; it could also mean that he was unsure before but now he is 100% committed. But I don't know the context of the quote it could be worse than I know.

My reason for the Zaire comment was because he seems like he's trying to prove why ND is great and backup his decision. He's trying to convince other people to come visit and make sure he's right. Also, I think other coaches will be able to neg recruit the crap out of ND and the fact that he will only have one year of possible starting behind Gunner.

Let's not forget our last 5 star QB as a SR couldn't beat out a true sophomore 3 star. Zaire has 4 years to start, he just has to earn them.

Only OSU scares me for Zaire. If OSU doesn't get Aaron Bailey or JT Barrett I would watch out.
