Hemorrhaging coaches.

I've lost track of the rules and I guess there are more assistants allowed than there used to be (and this guy was a grad assistant at Ohio State, not a full assistant). But is "outside linebackers coach" a thing major programs have now?

I am pretty sure Saban had an inside/outside backers coach. I have also seen IOL and Tackles/TE coaches. All up to the head man I guess.

He was just a GA. What we call GAs or Analysts as a broad term get assigned to specific jobs in the end.

Like how Chris O’Leary I think was technically the Rovers coach one year before being safeties coach.

Kelly and Day are very close. I doubt it was just about money.
I think he was being sarcastic.
Indeed.

Yes, Day played for Kelly at New Hampshire. That was the first portion of the hire.

Chip Kelly going from UCLA HC to Ohio State OC was never a move that was going to last long. The intent was pretty obvious and the subsequent move proves it.

Why TF would they do that? He hasn't proven to be a great coach. He had far more talent than everyone last year after their boosters bought a roster for him. I'm really happy this happened for selfish reasons.
I mean the dude did just beat ND to win the title, most coaches are going to get a contract extension winning a title

The light bulb is slowly coming to full power here, I think.

If you win, they pay you more money and your assistant coaches get hired for better jobs.
