Texas Tech: The Red Raiders have targeted Houston's Shiel Wood as the program's next defensive coordinator, per 247Sports' Matt Zenitz.

Michigan: The Wolverines have fired offensive coordinator Kirk Campbell, the school announced. Michigan ranked just 122nd nationally in yards per play this season in Campbell's debut as the program's play-caller. He previously served as quarterbacks coach under Jim Harbaugh.

Cal: The Golden Bears are expected to make a change at offensive coordinator, according to 247Sports' Matt Zenitz. There's a chance the current OC, Mike Bloesch, stays on staff in another capacity.

Nebraska: The Huskers are expected to hire Kentucky wide receivers coach Daikiel Shorts for the same role, sources tell 247Sports' Matt Zenitz and Chris Hummer. Shorts, a former 247Sports 30Under30 member, is considered one of the top young receivers coaches in the FBS.

North Texas: The Mean Green are expected to hire Sam Houston defensive coordinator Skyler Cassity for the same role, a source tells 247Sports' Chris Hummer and Matt Zenitz. Cassity, a former 30under30 member, helped Sam Houston jump from 90th to 15th in yards allowed per play in his first season as the program's defensive coordinator.

IFresno State, USC: Fresno State is close to hiring USC linebackers coach Matt Entz to be its next head coach, a source tells 247Sports/CBS Sports. Entz was previously the head coach at FCS powerhouse North Dakota State, where he won two national titles in five years.

UMass: The Minutemen plan to hire Rutgers defensive coordinator Joe Harasymiak as their next head coach, according to multiple reports. Harasymiak, 38, played college football in Massachusetts and was previously a head coach at Maine.

Ball State: The Cardinals have hired Butler's Mike Uremovich as head coach. A Gary, Indiana native, Uremovich went 23-11 overall at Butler and also has multiple years of experience as a FBS assistant.

Interesting that BSU went after a Pioneer League coach, but they did fairly well this year. Now if he can only get BSU leadership to support him.

Ryan Day took over Ohio State on the back of Meyer being put on admin leave for protecting a wife beater, then after Day's first season he had to deal with Covid bullshit.

He's lost 10 games and 4 have been to Michigan. That's the problem.
OSU should join the SEC to get away from Michigan.

Houston is expected to hire LSU tight ends coach Slade Nagle as its new offensive coordinator, a source tells 247Sports' Matt Zenitz. Nagle previously served as an OC under Willie Fritz at Tulane and helped the team go 23-4 in 2022 and '23.

Oklahoma State: Oklahoma State offensive coordinator Kasey Dunn and defensive coordinator Bryan Nardo have been fired. Massive staff overhaul underway for Mike Gundy, sources tell 247Sports/CBS Sports' Brandon Marcello.

according to FootballScoop.com, Marshall will be parting ways w/ HC Charles Huff after their Sun Belt CCG. Huff already has some suitors. Not sure what went on there but I suspect it had something to do w/ change in administrations.

I’ve been fairly tuned out of the news cycle the last two days but has WVU done anything yet? Because that would be a helluva hire. Not sure why Marshall would willingly let him go

Huff said right away he wasn't interested in any other jobs. The rumors he's going to Southern Miss are not going away, and the rumors Tony Gibson is getting the Marshall job are not going away either.

“The first year I was supposed to be going to Virginia Tech. I’m still here. Second year I was supposed to be going to Michigan State. I’m still here. Third year you’re going to fire me. I’m still here. I think it’s just part of what happens,” said Huff about the rumors he’s a candidate for the Southern Miss job.

As for WVU, the people that control the money there still love Rich Rodriguez and they're putting things in motion to try to see if he'll return. Pat Macafee is all about Rich Rodriguez coming back too, and for whatever reason, that guy has a great deal of influence over people. I'd suspect he gives money to WVU as well and he's a pretty well known alum with a platform.

Kudos to him.

DT as a player coaching safeties. This guy is a true football coach
He also has two degrees from ND.

He's only coached DL for two years, his first two at Western Illinois. He's also coached ILB and OLB. It can be done.

Western Illinois to Ball State to Boise State. Began as a GA for Diaco at UConn. That P4 job is coming.

I suppose this is the new way of things. With the transfer portal offering the possibility of immediate improvement and salaries what they are, there is little expectation to develop a program.

If Nagy leaves KC for the Jets HC job, maybe he finds his way back to the Chiefs.

Dude is not a fit for college ball.

Cignetti is going to have to deal with this as collateral damage of his success. Other programs are going to come calling for his lieutenants.

This hire might be the difference between Big Ten or the Big 12 for them. I wouldn't be surprised to see them throwing out absolutely crazy money because the difference in those conference media deals is $50-60 million. Annually.
