True, it irritated me when I saw it.Bunch of little shits will never do anything as meaningful or beautiful as the women giving their lives to Christ in the religious life

I really hated to see that. Nuns are not to be mocked, by Our Lady's students, no less.Umm. Have I missed it before but why are students dressed as nuns in the stands?

College kids having fun, I doubt they were insulting the religion.Bunch of little shits will never do anything as meaningful or beautiful as the women giving their lives to Christ in the religious life

It's the sort of cringey bullshit that got Stanford's band barred from campus. They may just be thoughtless undergrads, but the fact that they keep getting away with it indicates that no one is pulling them up short for it, which doesn't speak well of the culture on campus at the moment.College kids having fun, I doubt they were insulting the religion.

Lord knows I'd be offering them some "fraternal correction" were I still in Keenan Hall.
Seriously it’s the week after Halloween and a prime time game of course there going to where costumes. It’s dumb to get upset at this. It's the sort of cringey bullshit that got Stanford's band barred from campus. Fair. But I honestly would have picked a fight with them 13 years ago when I was still on campus. Impiety has always bothered me.
This isn't a Halloween gag. That group of undergrad guys shows up dressed as nuns for every home game.Seriously it’s the week after Halloween and a prime time game of course there going to where costumes. It’s dumb to get upset at this.

I'm glad someone brought this up. I'm not Catholic, but I was pissed off that they were allowed to get away with that but I wasn't sure if others here would feel the same about their own religion. I couldn't think of something in my religion that would be an exact parallel, but it is seriously disappointing seeing people that make light of what others consider sacred even if it's their garb.Umm. You need to have music and light shows just bc the players and recruits love it. Just the way it is.Can we start a new thread where we talk about the terrible music that is at Notre Dame Stadium? Can someone with access to the school get in Marcus Freeman's ear about potentially hiring someone to take over that aspect of the gameday experience? I think it's important that we have a nice blend with the band, and honestly wouldn't be totally against the band full-time compared to the music that comes through the TV. But we are at a point where it's GLARINGLY BAD. Almost taking away from the majesty of the stadium honestly. It's straight disrespectful to Knute, Ara, Leahy, etc.
I think we as a board could come up with a better plan and execute that plan than whoever is doing it currently. And shit, if it gets me a box seat for home games I'll go down and execute the plan for free every game if someone will train me how to work the aux.
I agree. I think the right music in any setting will make it exponentially better. But I know that equally the wrong music in any setting makes it exponentially worse. We are the latter. You need to have music and light shows just bc the players and recruits love it. Just the way it is.
ND’s music selection is the most cringe inducing mess of a mix I’ve heard at a big time sports event. Like truly embarrassing. Freeman and Rees aren’t old. They know it too.

More music. More stuff like Mo Bamba. Less stuff like the Six Flags song we play 100x a game.By all accounts last night was the best atmosphere in years. I think they’re doing just fine and when the whole stadium went nuts over Mo Bamba, that came through the TV so well even I got hype. Keep the music and CRANK IT LOUDER
Listen, I think people are reading my original message wrong. I love the idea of music being used. And the light show i think was great. My bigger issue is the music being used is terrible. Like 20 years out dated! By all means, pump Mo Bamba! That would be a breath of fresh air! My issue is the music choices are repeated over and over and they are just not great songs tbh. We gotta do better because as I stated a couple messages above: bad music makes an experience exponentially worse, just as much as good music makes it exponentially better.By all accounts last night was the best atmosphere in years. Agree 100%. During the Stanford game I remember they did that thing where they let people text in their vote to pick a 3rd quarter song. The choice was Eye of the Tiger or Sweet Caroline. Two absolute boomer snoozers. Like come on.Listen, I think people are reading my original message wrong. I love the idea of music being used. And the light show i think was great. You guys must be fun at parties.Need more Slayer and less idiots dressing up as nuns
Is there a Y on campus?
Sweet Carolina has been a band and student favorite for like...at least 15 years.Agree 100%. The University sent me a survey the week after the game about my experience and I spent the whole thing shitting on the music. It has to be better. MMFF has swag and is trying to make ND cool again. Fix the music.
And what’s the common denominator between all 15 of those years? ND hasn’t been cool in any of them.Sweet Carolina has been a band and student favorite for like...at least 15 years.
And only Beta males hate on Eye of the Tiger.
That 4th down Techno thing they play really needs to go though. It's awful.
