That's really awkward. Reallllllllllllllly awkward. On one hand, the coach surely wants to go out on top... on the other, how do the players respond to someone like him... both in practice and in the bowl game? Very weird.

He is a legend there, the players will play with an extra motivation to dedicate him a victory. He is not leaving BSU badly, he is leaving BSU as a legend and a gentleman. It would be a very emotional day and for ND being part of that would be great.

This is how I see it.

Apparently Sampson has been hearing over the last 24 hrs. that the Pinstripe Bowl has really upped the anty with respect to ND and ND is listening. Sampson is starting to think thats the destination we end up at with Houston or Rutgers as the opponent.

I want the Pinstripe and Rutgers,... at this point no bowl will impress, but it sure as hell can embarrass... take the easiest out. (I know, what a pussy)

Rutgers please. Would HATE to play Houston.

I really like the Boise + Poinsetta/Hawaii matchup of all of them

No matter what bowl we go to if we win I'm getting the hat and shirt like I did for the Sun Bowl!

Yeah, and maybe it's just me but I think there's something cool about playing in NYC. I probably won't be able to go to any bowl game this year because of family obligations around the holidays, but I'd be way more likely to go to a bowl game in NYC than a game in San Diego or Hawaii. I've been wanting an excuse to make a trip to NYC for years to visit friends and family who have moved there for work or school, and I think a lot of people would be in that same position.

Of course, San Diego and Hawaii have NYC beat in the weather department, and that seems to be a big factor to the players. So whatever.

sounds like all of the stars must align in order for it to happen...doesn't sound it

^

Either one of those bowls requires two teams/conferences to be moved to other venues. Not likely.

I with Camp, Pinstripe.

Which bowl game has better swag for the players? I know even some of the lower tier bowl games have some pretty rad swag for the players.

if BK leaves it in the hands of the seniors then you would have to think they will pick Hawaii

There is no better place during the holidays than NYC. No debate in my mind.

Rockefeller Center this time of year always looks amazing. So lucky I'm able to walk past it everyday. From 46th street to 50th street on 6th avenue is Christmas heaven.

I agree, but I can't imagine Washington would be thrilled about him being on the sidelines for a bowl game. That time could be spent recruiting, picking a staff, etc.

Peterson NOT coaching Boise State in bowl game by "mutual decision" per Twitter.

From strictly a game stanpoint I would have preferred Poinsettia v Boise State but atleast the Pinstripe is only 2 hours away.

If we have to play one of Houston or Rutgers, god I hope it is Rutgers. They are truly ass. They are 5-6 right now and play USF at home this weekend. Houston has a pretty damn good passing offense led by O'Korn and (guess who?) Greenberry.

Yasgur's Farm. Gotta get back to the garden. Natural turf, mud, Jimi Hendrix, root vegetables, Vodka, Aqua Vit, and pickled herring.

Such a deal!!!

:D I know and I think the payout is …uh… 40 tons of the pickled herring per team, but thats just twitter rumors (not the twitter we know, twitter as in the pigeon that carried the message).
