I agree with the rest of your comment, but ASU's situation is significantly different than, say, Stanford. Offensively, the Cardinal has the ingredients--at least on paper--to enjoy the same sort of smash-mouth run game that they've utilized successfully over the last several seasons. That's a good example of "if they get their sh!t together, look out".
ASU lost
9 of 11 starters on defense from last year; which is an insane level of turn-over.
They're 78th against the run and 79th against the pass. And their lack of quality defensive depth has predictably hurt their ST as well, where
they're only ranked 71st. Point being, I don't see ASU "getting its sh!t together" on defense and ST this season, because they simply don't have the necessary pieces to be competitive in those areas.
If they're going to win, it'll be in a shoot-out. And to be fair, Bercovici has been very impressive, and Graham's offense is explosive. But our offense is tailor-made to terrorize a spread like Graham's, and we're playing lights out at the moment. So unless something major changes between now and then (knock on wood), I'm very confident we'll win comfortably.
