On a related note, Ole Miss has (allegedly) committed some NCAA rules violation, as I was told from a source that I will not disclose (but you can probably guess who). Anyways, Laremy Tunsil was paid something in the range of six figures, and there is a prostitution ring on campus to entice recruits. Cool, eh?

It's fairly common for lower level SEC teams to get popped for something...

Am I the only one who finds it hard to believe that the dirty programs are the ones that never win anything and the programs that win are the ones that are clean and just have, I don’t know,… tremendous weight training programs???

So you are saying they are both next on the list for the NCAA to do nothing about?

lol.. honestly though, read some books on the SEC, "It Never Rains..." comes to mind... they openly talk about hookers given to recruits on trips... MSU is often cited... this goes back long to the 60's and 70's

Not much of a punishment. Infractions must not have been as bad as reported.

Notre Dame did worse to itself this year by not oversigning!

A four star player that played at a high school near me flipped on Signing Day to Ole Miss. The Rebs had never been in his discussion of schools and had stayed firm in his commitment to the other school throughout. The reason for the flip? Ole Miss gave his girlfriend a scholarship as she was a band member. Amazing.

And most people in the South know that when you go into Memphis to recruit players like a Redmond, you are going to have to deal with some shady high school coaches. I would stay away from Memphis if I were a recruiter. Simply too messy in the end.

But, Hugh Freeze is an amazing coach and recruiter. He doesn't need to do those things.

Where the good guys always lose.

Depends on one's definition of amazing I guess. Creative may be a better choice of words.

Italics = sarcasm.

Anyone else remember Freeze popping off on Twitter about "slandering" his players with unsubstantiated rumors of recruiting violations?
