I remember Ben Turk warming up pregame in shorts and a cut off shirt while the Miami players were dressed like they were in Antartica.Notre Dame last appeared in the Sun Bowl in Tommy Rees's freshman season as the Irish quarterback, beating Miami, 33-17, with snow on the ground and receiver Michael Floyd starring in most of the afternoon's highlights, turning six catches into 109 yards and two touchdowns in his final collegiate game.
And 2pm on a Friday to boot.I was actually amped for the bowl game against LSU. Then I talked myself into it being funny to eat a giant pop tart.
Now this is just dumb/boring.
That’s when I knew it was over. They wanted no part of that game.I remember Ben Turk warming up pregame in shorts and a cut off shirt while the Miami players were dressed like they were in Antartica.
Don’t know if it’s true or not, but read Oregon State will not have starting QB, RB or RT for the game.
Then ND needs to win by 3 scores, playing a lot of underclassmen, winning 10 games & getting a lot of momentum going into next season.DJU is in the portal, RB picked up for DUI, don't know about the RT. He's a projected 1st rd pick, so he might sit.
Coach already left for Michigan State.
I feel like Golden had DJ's number last year. Now we'll get an unknown QB with no game film on him. Good be good for us or bad.Don’t know if it’s true or not, but read Oregon State will not have starting QB, RB or RT for the game.
If anyone wants to meet up I’ll gladly stand that person up,…So ACamp will be hosting everyone and providing good burritos right?

So....see you there around 6?If anyone wants to meet up I’ll gladly stand that person up,…
Forgot the article, but I read earlier today the Sun Bowl rep nearly fell over when he heard ND was still available when the ACC finally called.
My conspiracy theory is mid tantrum, the ACC held ND out of the pool for the more desirable bowls to sabotage them and ensure they don’t draw dick. They still get cut a check regardless of attendance, etc.

Great article that breaks down the events that led to this. The video from the local station they linked was pretty good too:
I get that the ACC got screwed a bit, but then they pass the buck to us? Fuck that, time to get out of the ACC. Seems like they don't care or need the revenue that Notre Dame brings to the conference, but people like the reps for the Sun Bowl and El Paso sure seem appreciative watching that video. They said in 2010 when Notre Dame came in it was the biggest economic impact they've ever seen. Tickets sold out in 24 hours again this time. If I'm happy for anyone, I'm happy for the city of El Paso.
