I don't follow the Blues. Hockey doesn't matter too much downstate because the games were never on. I'll watch the playoffs, but I'm just not much of a fan.

Soccer matches obviously depend on the dimensions of the field. The walls behind the endzones being so close make me wonder if the corners would be too tight for the wider field of play.

Well the ND field is 120 yards long from back end to back end... FIFA only requires 110 yards I believe... so there should be plenty of room that way... though the width may be a problem....

This is a great move by Swarbrick. No longer will Georgia or Nebraska be able to argue over who brought the most red to South Bend. They will both be but a footnote compared to the Blackhawk Invasion.

What are the logistics involved?

Do they remove the carpet, subase, and regrade?

Or is it all done by building a substructure under the rink to achieve a level base. I'm assuming the latter but suspect this is a costly one time expense. Is there a rent a rink conversion company that services such a venue?

I believe that football fields that are made of grass are not flat, but football fields that are turf are flat.

It Is too Narrow. world Cup 94 Had Some games In old Foxborro Stadium. All Corners Required the Taker T3o A4pproach at an Oblique Angle. Sorry for the odd caps. Phone is trolling me.

totally missed this back then... I was on my way to Italy that day and was sitting next to a Blackhawks fan on the flight to New York (he too was going to Italy but had a different connecting flight)...

We had some fun with that game. It's hard to be too upset when you've won back to back. I was like, "I mean I'm a Browns fan and you want to rile me about my only winning team getting blown out in one reg season game?"

and yes I was wearing my Pens hat regardless, it's all good.
