Gotta go with 2008, the class that saved IE from the depths of hell!!! Seriously, you newbies have no idea how bad this place got after the admin and the mods all left around 2009-ish. Wild Wild West...very little football talk, and guys exactly like irishpat and that idiot knute_rockne (the poster, not the coach) tried to take over the site by being internet bullies and saying anything to anyone w/out any consequences. It was pathetic. (Yo BGIF, remember IrishLew? How many times did we ban that clown when we first took over? LOL...was there a bigger racist/jackass than that guy???)

But man, 2006 had some real heavyweights. We all owe this site to jpham, who agreed to take over and end all the bullsh!t (with a big assist from BGIF, a true "G" if there ever was one). Plus they had GoshenGipper, perhaps the greatest human being and biggest ND fan ever to grace this site, God rest his soul.

I was just a reader/lurker for 2 years (always thought message boards were for dorks LOL), and for a while this site was amazing with some incredible posters. Incredible insight. Of course, in this poll, the most recent years will win the poll b/c they are most likely still with us. But man, those early years had some heavy hitters!

lol funny thread. I don't know how I'd get through my boring-*** workday without IE. Do my IE breaks force me to work past 8 most nights in order to bill my requisite 8 hours? Yes. Is it better that way? Actually, yes.

I'd like to think of the 2012 IE class as IrishMob13 ... hungry, loyal, strong sense of camaraderie. Still a few months till NSD but just wait, before it's all said and done we'll be a force ...
