I don't think it's that they don't care about him. It's more of a relief knowing it's not Folston or GB. Those two could be the best duo in recent memory for ND.

Sounds like he fought another ND player in a bar, but from the way things seem, he was the one who initiated the confrontation. Honestly, it must be more than just simply a bar fight, because while I could see a suspension, I don't see how that would warrant getting kicked off the team for, unless he did something REALLY bad.

Agreed. I can't be the only one that is a little relieved that it isn't either of those two, because honestly had it been, that would be a gargantuan blow to the nads for this year's team. Only have 3 legit RB's, so there's very little room for error.

Its funny how the internet turns what happened into something completely different than the actual story. I am extremely disappointed in some of the posts I have read in this thread. Its very disheartening to see fans wish and hope its a certain player.

In todays world, it has changed to a "now" culture and things are said without ever checking them, and they get turned into something that isnt accurate.

This situation has legs and when the time is right, it will be addressed, and my guess is there will be a deduction from the Notre Dame Football team. And the story on this board is further from the truth. But to say your relieved or hope its this player over another is beyond comprehension.

Ok, thank you. Two teammates fighting, not good. Like you said, it has to be more than just a simply bar fight.

I have no info on this, I just didnt think Mahone would be the type to get kicked out

Honestly man I was at a stoplight driving home from this winery and could only fire out 3 words. Is what it is... you hope it's no one but considering how heavily we expect to rely on Folston/Bryant and how shallow we are at RB that's how I phrased it.

Also, I don't like naming names on rumors on principle... but now it's already all through this thread so I don't see the point in refraining.

I don't share in your pessimism TP. It's not just a cultural thing, this is just how humans act. We enjoy assuming, predicting how things will play out, and this is no exception. From what I've seen, it's just people hoping IF IT'S TRUE, that it actually is Mahone and not Folston, Bryant or McDaniel. I'm pretty sure that they would rather not have to have that situation exist in the first place, but that's just how it is. No matter who it happens to, it sucks, but it's on them.

If it's a RB , that mens after this year we will have folston- two years left and Bryant 3, meaning we take two RB's now and one of them will see snaps next year! "SoSO Jamabo"!
