That's the kind of stuff I love to hear! Loved his tape and glad he's ours! Really liking this school in Virginia right now! It's hotter than Mugatu!

Didn't want to search through the whole thread, but isn't this the young man who made all-conference/state over current 4-star signee Randolph? At the same high school? While being a year younger? Or am I imagining these things.

Seems pretty darn athletic in that film... probably most exemplified on the play where he burns everyone down the field on a passing play and catches a long TD... not really sure where the analysts get their "concerns" on his athleticism from. Seems faster than Anzalone but smaller.

Dare I say underrated? Don't understand how he's not a 4:s: player everywhere.

Has to be competition, no?

Yep, that's my concern. My high school played in that league, and while a number of strong D-I FBS players have come out of it in recent years (Russell Wilson of Collegiate at the top of the list) it's not a strong football league, generally. In particular, I don't want to get too excited about his offensive highlights; not sure whether poor defense is making him look good.

Having said that, there are a few plays at the end of his tape where Martini shows impressive closing speed and makes some really athletic tackles. I definitely still like him as a prospect; just saying to take his tape with a grain of salt.

then on the other side of the coin...alex anzalone played near me and the competition was nothing...and he held his own in the ua w/ other elite players

Right, and obviously Prosise and Randolph both came out of Woodberry, and have both shown themselves to be not just quality athletes but exceptional ones. I'm not down on Greer at all; as with Anzalone, there are moments in his tape where you can see the athleticism and ferocity in the tackling. I'm just saying that since the competition isn't great, I'd like to see how Greer does in camps or tournaments with other elite players before I get too excited.

GM>>>>AA. And it has nothing to do with Sour grapes. 30 years ago I knew a kid who was a little younger than me. A tall lanky linebacker that had a nose for the ball, some special talents. The kid ruined his knee before he came into his own at ND. Had he stayed healthy, he would have been one of the all time greats. Greer is got the same skill set. I have never seen anyone more reminescent, except Greer started to mature a tad faster.

Love watching MLB tape. Couple plays it looked like Martini was in the Offense's huddle. Also, never realized how versatile he is until today.
