Ohio state 2022 we went into the game focused with a solid game plan especially on D, but didn’t have enough talent

2023 Ohio state we had enough talent but a few player and coach mistakes killed us at the end of a game we should have won

This year we have the most talent and the team is building to make a statement - get it done!
Reported. Someone clearly hacked your account with this positivity bullshit. Go Irish!!☘️

I'm sure this is unwanted lesson but I like learning things.

I believe an "Aggie" is just person who attends an agricultural school. At least in its origin I think. Now I would associate Aggie with farmers as well (splitting hairs, I know).

It can be confusing though, if you look at old newspaper clippings, you might see headlines like "Texas Aggies take down Mississippi Aggies." This would indicate that TAMU beat Mississippi State. I think it was just an early way to distinguish between a state's "flagship" and the "ag" school in state's where those are separate institutions but both named after the state.

ND Ag (now NDSU) was the Aggies.
TAMU still the Aggies.
Michigan Ag (MSU) was the Aggies.
Kansas State was the Aggies.
Colorado A&M (CSU) was the Aggies.

Etc. I think now it is used by a couple other schools as a bona fide mascot - perhaps a reference to the region's history or farming. There are some high schools who use it too - albeit not many.

Utah state and New Mexico State still aggies think also uc davis and some other fcs and d2/3 schools

No need to wonder, Aggie=Farm person. That's it.

Edit - Additionally,

What is an Aggie?A student at Texas A&M.

An Aggie is a student at Texas A&M. In the early 1900s, our students were called "Farmers." The term Aggie — reflecting our agricultural roots — was first used in the 1920s, and in 1949, the yearbook changed its name from The Longhorn to Aggieland. At that point, Aggie became the official student body nickname.

I gotta think Elko knows all about Leonard. Could be a long night for Him.
Folks talk about how aTm lacks this or that based on Jimbo’s last two years, but Elko has shown he’s capable of making an instant impact. Whether it was as DC at ND in ‘17 or aTm in ‘18 or as HC at Duke in ’22. Doesn’t guarantee anything tonight but I do believe he’s the linchpin of this program.

I meant it could be a long night for Leonard. Elko probably gonna be able to make it hard on Leonard.

The Elko love is too much you guys act like he's saban he is a good coach but he isn't the end all be all. When he left and they didn't all of a sudden become a terrible defense. Denbrock is a very good OC and we might have the best defense in the country against a suspect o line

Yep, our D was better in 2018 under Lea a first time DC, than 2017 with elko.

Yes lea learned a lot under elko but they run very different defenses

I think Elko is a very good coach. And, their environment and talent makes for a tough matchup. But Elko is going to need games before this team is what he wants. No reason an ND team in year 3 with Freeman shouldn’t be ready to take this game. We should have a culture in place that is ready for this moment.

This isn’t a make or break game. But it’s certainly a measuring stick type of game for this coaching staff.

If ND win's tonight, it's exactly what they needed.

if they lose, then we'll just need to win a natty.

Actually, either way, we just need to win the natty.

It's almost fucking time boys!!! Another season! Once more into the breach!!! Woooooo!!!
Repeat the affirmation after me: I will not let a team of teenagers ruin my labor day weekend. I will process the result of this game well and not get overtly emotional.

Naaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. Fuck that shit. Ride or die!!! Wooooooooo!!!

Do we have an Irish envy boots on the ground? If so, what is general feel about the game?

Not that I disagree with you - but I believe the Oline needs to stay 'disciplined' and play 'not bad', i.e. no mistakes - false starts and holding. I deem the coaching staff is where the Irish have the most advantage tonight outside of the D. The Freshmen I'm a bit concerned about but, they were recruited for a reason and they are not small dudes either.

We'll see.....
