I have to wonder if they are under reporting their weight/height. If not, I can't think of a reason we shouldn't roll.

Sometimes you don't need a height/weight advantage to win. Look at Navy. Then again...

Well, that had it's intended effect.

There goes the first bit of drywall from my house for the season.

(Shembo scared the hell out of me.)

Nothing gets me fired up more than "Ain't No Mountain High Enough". Except maybe "Summer Breeze"...

Hey, man... Summer breeze makes me feel fine...

...blowin' through the jasmine in my mind.

Don't get me wrong, I believe Summer Breeze should replace Crazy Train at ND stadium when the opponent is facing a key 3rd down. They would be like, "What the...?" and it would totally throw off their momentum.

Local news reporting that Temple has been playing The Notre Dame Victory March, Celtic Chant, and Rakes of Mallow over and over again at practice so that they are used to it for the game.

Dilemma. A work colleague passed away. His service is right at kickoff. I had just arranged weekend soccer schedule with my wife (she drives Saturday to San Juan Capistrano and I go Sunday, staying home with the 13 year old) to watch the game. Then the service was announced. Game or service? (I know the morally correct answer) yes, I am leaning towards watching the game at home

Watch the game. People shouldn't schedule funerals for the fall (Taken from the marriage thread).

No, in all seriousness, if you weren't close to the colleague then sending flowers would be more than reasonable I would think. If you were close, I would go.

Have to work at 6pm Saturday night, but will at least catch the first 2 hours or so. Wish that there was a local radio station around Omaha that carried the game so I could finish the game on the drive to work.

Still can't wait for the game to kick off. Go Irish!

No Wake or Removal to go to the night before?

The fact that you obviously view his funeral as an obligation means that you weren't close. Send flowers. It's unlikely that most people will even notice you didn't go and the family 1) won't care and 2) will be appreciative of the flowers.

Two questions. How big is your company and how close were you.

If you work for a small place and it would be noticed that you aren't there you should think about going. If it's a large company and you weren't close then like others said send flowers.
