Anyone see Maryland refuse to shake hands?

I hope Maryland get embarrassed in every game they play, for the next decade or so. Watching the video, and seeing them just stand there as the Penn State players try to shake their hands.... totally classless. The team, the coach, and the entire Athletic Department Administration should be ashamed of themselves.

I agree with you KMoose. Shame is something that is disappearing...it really did use to mean something. Sad!

UMD and PSU have been playing since 1917. UMD is now 2-35-1.

Haven't played in 21 years and now they'll be playing every single year.

They're now finally in the same conference. Edsall said let the rivalry begin. I bet if you asked PSU fans/players/coaches which teams they most badly want to beat next season, Maryland would be close to the top.

Beating Maryland might make the season for IU and PU, the low expectations teams, not PSU.

Maryland is trying really hard to be relevant. I think the hate for PSU is over the top but to each their own.

Saw on Twitter that Edsall ripped into his captains about it so I don't think it was authorized. It was a dumb move.

In chess if you refuse to shake hands with an opponent before the game, you forfeit it. You don't have to like your opponent, their school, their coach, or anything else, but show some class and sportsmanship. MD's refusal to shake hands said nothing about PSU, but a lot about MD.

This. Not shaking hands is a severe case of unsportsmanlike conduct. It's worse than taunting, etc. by a large margin.
