I was lucky enough to been at the game last night....and I can honestly say I don't believe i've ever been to a game, especially on the road, where there was just something MAGIC in the air. I've been thinking about it all day, and I can't quite find the right words to describe the collective feeling that was on all the faces of my fellow ND fans i encountered there last night....

Anybody else there last night have similar feelings??? What a GREAT win!!!!

I felt it last night too. Or maybe that was all the Canadian beer MSU fans gave me.

A great moment at the game last night was when there was about 4 minutes left and MSU fans started heading for the exits, an MSU fan in front of me was screaming at them for being terrible fans and how they were giving up on the team when they needed them most. He got so riled up that eventually his girlfriend told him to chill out and be realistic.

Sitting among mostly ND fans was truly special last night, and when the team came over to celebrate with us was incredible. There was just pure joy on the faces of all of the fans and players. We knew that demons had been exorcised and our terrible streak of losses to top 10 (albeit overrated) teams was finally over. I'm swimming in the Irish kool aid and I don't even care. This team is special.

Got goosebumps reliving that memory, a couple old timers we met in the bleachers just kept mumbling....."were back, were back"

I don't advocate any koolaid drinking however, I'd like to think this isn't Notre Dame Football Fan 101, I've had my heart broken to many times in the past

We must now destroy Meatchicken to truly raise the phoenix. Destroy them. Annihilate them. Embarrass them. Humiliate them. We must destroy our enemies, watch them driven before us and hear the lamentation of their fanbase.

I have been drinking kool aid all year. Tastes better every week.

haha this is great.

It all starts in the trenches and right now no one wants to go toe to toe with our boys.

I need to see us beat Denard. Then I'll feel like the some of the demons are gone. Then I'll lead the glory parade and sip the kool-aid and start to follow us in the polls. But we need to beat Denard.

One game at a time. I am loving this team, but let's do the talking on the field. There is a team from Ann Arbor coming our way this weekend that has a recent string of miracles. If we are 4-0 come the close of Saturday night, pass the kool aid brethren

I am loving being soooo wrong so far and saying they would start 1-3. I will accept all crap/cuff from all you guys who have said I was wrong. I WAS wrong. Never was I so proud to be an Irish fan. Kelly called a great game and the players not only turned it out they ignored the crowd and sparty players as they tried to bully. They just turned to the sideline for the next call. Totally wrapped up in the next execution. Really something to see. I live in the south and had 2 friends from Ga call me to say the defense looked like an SEC defense-now thats something. My pitching students were calling me to tell me I was wrong-get that. I'll let you guys x and o it but seeing Eifert/Hercules seal the end on runs late in the game was eye popping. Teo as we all knew is a special man ( enough said ). This team has a chance to 3-0 the big 10 and if they do my season is complete no matter what they do the rest of the way. I still think they lose to Mich (wish I would have gotten negative 10 years ago) but no matter I will petition you guys to let me back on the train. Right now I see a puff of smoke way down the tracks-is that a train I hear coming-we will see. One word of caution-Alabama destroyed Mich-if the Irish lose to Mich all the know it alls will say the gap has not changed. Notre Dame must beat Mich even if its by 1/2 point to get national eyes turning to South Bend. They have to win this game.

I started thinking about this today and it occurred to me that maybe there is a reason other than wanting to have his senior memories that Te'o came back for his senior season. Wouldn't it be amazing if we won a BCS bowl or (yikes!) a NC after both Te'o and Eifert came back for another year? I feel Te'o is one of God's greatest creations and it would be such an amazingly awesome thing if Te'o won a NC his senior season! Talk about memories! Then he would know coming back was the absolute right thing to do!

And for those who can name this movie quote "I'm preparing for rain". Let's hope Kelly is preparing his fields for rain!

This was a solid performance all the way around. O, D & ST, this team played as a team. Very focused and ready to play. Even our youngsters at cornerback played very well. Time to show that the fluke comeback last year by UM was just that, a fluke. No lucky fumbles, no ducks landing in the right place. Our speed should be able to contain DR and force him to throw the ball.

Last year, the T.J. Jones drop/almost pick would have been a pick/freak turn of events. Not this year. I am drunk on kool-aid. I was also at the game as well, could hear ND chants throughout the stadium.

Our D-Line was so dominant. I am reserving judgement till we deal with Denard. If we contain him and win, I will bathe in the kool-aid. I bet MSU gameplanned Tyler all week long and how many times did he even get looks?

Many people here said this game will be won in the trenches and it was. We dominated the D-line and Gholston was barely a factor (well his fingertips were anyway)...

I think Michigan's game will be determined by the edge. If we lose that we lose the game. I am worried about our DBs. Russell and Shumate are still learning but they are showing some good stuff. All around I am very pleased.

I do know this, I haven't watched or listened to espn in a long while... I have been watching all day just wanting one of the haters to say something..... Anything.. I think the template has been set...ignore notre dame until they lose to Michigan, then pound them... I do feel many 'experts' completely expect a loss this weekend... Hopefully we can FINALLY win a big, defining game and make them eat their own bullshit.

Michigan is going to come to play for sure. Like i said last week if the defensive front seven control the the run we will be in good shape.

The ball does seem to be bouncing our way this season so lets hope that continues
