Well I can at least say I don't love all that stuff because I just can't get behind a lot of the stuff Superman does or the other flawless heroes/villains. I am a more anti-hero guy (Wolverine). I like the flawed superheros with problems who do the wrong things for the right reasons. I mean seriously Superman could have ended WWII quickly, but no, he had to go and use his X-ray vision during his eye exam for the Army and mistakenly read a different eye chart three rooms over...come on haha.

Me too...love Wolverine and Batman because they are so flawed. I'm kind of a comic book nerd in that I actually read them as opposed to just watching movies. My favorite characters all have that anti-hero vibe:

Wolverine
Batman
Punisher
Rorschach (from Watchmen)

Yeah he's 77, whereas Mark Hamill is only 62. Harrison Ford is 71.

A lot of my friends are too... haha, they freaking love ANYTHING with a comic logo on it... I often ask them, "Okay guys, seriously take the (Insert comic franchise) logo off that movie... you wouldn't have sat through that shit fest and you know it... right?"

That's funny to hear since the prevailing stereotype of comic book fans are consistently angry, unrealistic fanboys who get furious at the first sign that anything is different or not expertly done.

Hence the Simpsons Comic Book Guy's catchphrase "WORST ______EVER"

I'm with you. I have thousands of these upstairs all bagged, boarded and in alphabetical order. :) These are some of my favorite characters, too. Add Elektra, Venom and Deadpool to that list. Some who weren't heroes to start with.

I liked the new Star Trek films... you are correct... Silent Bob does nothing for me, he's a comic book nerd they tend to love everything... :)

Just for fun, check this out. Smith was going to write a Superman movie that didn't pan out. It's a pretty funny story.

Reps. I've never seen that before, Kevin Smith is awesome. The payoff at the end was great, but the whole thing was pretty funny on it's own too. I can't imagine a Super Man movie where Super Man has no suit, doesn't fly, fights a giant spider, Brainiac fights some polar bears, and he has a gay robot sidekick

Star Wars Episode 7 plot details suffer unconfirmed leak | Film | theguardian.com

I'm curious if these details sound plausible to anyone who is familiar with the Star Wars universe. I've seen the movies but I've never read any of the novels or anything.

Not buying it. I don't recall anything like the lightsaber story in the expanded universe and it is flimsy at best to base an arc on. Luke lost his hand and first lightsaber in Bespin and most likely it would not have actually made it to space.

The super weapon is a bit more realistic as I think the Sun Crusher is potential candidate here. Still I hope they don't go the "superweapon" route again.

That lightsaber through space thing is soooooo fucking dumb.

I would buy them going for sun crusher though... that's one of the more viable plot lines.

The Force Awakens.

There is also some great concept art available. I am not going to post it for those who don't want spoilers. Check it out.

I highly recommend starting with the Darth Bane Trilogy in regard to novels. Excellent story that explains the origins of the 2 member Sith order and the badass Sith who started it.

Two there should be; no more, no less. One to embody power, the other to crave it...
