When have they ever not claimed them? They never disavow them in any press release or media guide, and instead put an asterisk (actually a shamrock because it's the Irish, get it?) with a footnote saying the total includes wins that were subsequently vacated.

NCAA is the biggest fucking joke when it comes to organizations. I'm not surprised by this, but still disappointed. Was at least hoping they'd lose scholarships and have a post season ban. They certainly should have had wins taken away, 100%.

Hammer North Carolina for students not actually taking classes? Nope.
Hammer Penn State for covering up a fucking pedophile scandal? Temporarily yes, then no when they took the punishments back.
Hammer Michigan for actually cheating to win games for 3 years when they've been mediocre for the rest of the 2000s? Nope.
Hammer Notre Dame for self reporting a few players having papers written for them. YES

The non-ND sources (e.g., Wikipedia, NCAA, SI, etc.) do not include them in the totals. ND, despite Jenkins and Swarbrick saying otherwise when it all started have never done anything than follow the USC-Bush model.

Not sure how NBC handles it at this point, but they referred to Kelly as the all-time winningest coach and that's only true if you include the wins that were supposed to be vacated. No matter how you slice it, he was and is the all-time losingest coach, which I don't feel gets brought up enough.
