Deleted the tweet, but former Michigan player Jourdan Lewis tweeted during the draft, "This Levert and Peoples thing really got me pissed. Cause I know the real reason." Both slid far in the draft.

The common interpretation is Harbaugh badmouthed them both when teams came calling.

I see that Shea Patterson not only went undrafted but hasn’t even signed yet. Per 247 he was the #1 quarterback in his class and the #4 prospect overall. He was enough of a talent that he started as a freshman and was straight handed the Michigan starting job when he transferred in as a sophomore.

UM has been strong at WR and fine at OL during his time there. What the hell happened?

only player invited to combine without an UDFA deal. He'd probably be a camp try-out arm if there were being held

I really like this kid.

His teammate is Rod Moore who I'm hoping joins Barnes among and others in this ND class.

MI also got a DE named Gabe Newburg in '19 from this HS. I see a trend.

Yeah they're a pretty solid program in southern Ohio that gets overlooked often because of the success of the Catholic schools in Cincy

very akin to Tommy Rees beating Michigan State back in the day

To this day that win may be one of the ballsiest moves by BK in his ND career, and one I still can't wrap my head around. As a coach that has often taken the easy yards, we kept chucking the ball downfield on a tough MSU defense that would end up going undefeated in 2011 save for that game. What ended up happening as a slew of pass interference calls that ended up being the difference in getting us the win. What's even more impressive is the fact we were playing that aggressive with Tommy at the helm. We had no business winning that game that year.

Simple, work ethic, fumbles a lot, not a strong arm and can't take snaps under center. Yet somehow looked like a Heisman winner vs ND.

Michigan prez expresses doubt about college football in fall: None for Wolveries if students not on campus
Michigan's stay-at-home order's have been extended through June 12

https://www.cbssports.com/college-football/news/michigan-prez-expresses-doubt-about-college-football-in-fall-none-for-wolveries-if-students-not-on-campus/

Though schools are individually announcing that athletes will be permitted to return to campus in June for voluntary workouts, Michigan is taking a more cautious approach to reopening. The university has not yet set a date for athletes to return -- the state's stay-at-home order has been extended through June 12 -- and school president Dr. Mark Schlissel is ruling out college athletics in the fall if there are no on-campus classes.

"If there is no on-campus instruction then there won't be intercollegiate athletics, at least for Michigan," Schlissel told the Wall Street Journal. Moreover, Schlissel expressed that he has "some degree of doubt as to whether there will be college athletics [anywhere], at least in the fall."

An immunologist by trade, Schlissel's opinion differs from other decision-makers across college football. For the past couple of months, the 2020 season has faced serious doubt as the country shut down with shelter-in-place orders amid the coronavirus pandemic. But in recent weeks, coupled with states slowly reopening, more optimism has spread that football and other fall sports could be played.

On how close Michigan is to a national championship

I mean, just look back over the last the last years that we've been here last five years. About as close as you can possibly be. But you got to put it over the top. That’s what drives us.

From Spath at si.com:

[itshappening.gif]

I expect Michigan to play football this fall.

• I expect that U-M will play fewer than the 12 games on its schedule and that the trip to Washington and the Arkansas State game will be either canceled outright or replaced by Mid-American Conference opponents.

• I expect Michigan to play at least one home-and-home and potentially two or more with other Big Ten teams, most likely Michigan State, Indiana and Ohio State. I expect Notre Dame to be a very real possibility as a fill-in game because of the location and access via buses.

• I expect that if Michigan holds in-person classes student-athletes will be required to attend them just like normal students, however, I do believe that there will be specific student-athlete dorms on campus, with all the fall sports teams (including upperclassmen) to live in the dorms.

• I expect at least one Big Ten program not to play football this fall and as many as four or five. I think there is a chance for a four-team Big Ten championship bout to be played in December with the teams staying put in one city/hotel all two weeks.

• I expect the other fall sports, field hockey, golf, soccer and cross country to play but have entirely regional schedules with no flights whatsoever. I'm not sure about volleyball.

• I don't expect fans to be in attendance at any sporting event that is not football.

I did tell you all. Makes perfect sense, especially when we inevitably have to cancel the California games.

They embarrassed us last year, so it's our turn to return the favor again. These games never seem to be close anymore.

I do wish we'd just stop playing these assholes, though. We have better cause to hate them any other program in the country, and they get a lot more out of this series than we do.

WHY? This is one of the great rivalries in CFB!

Hardly. We've only played them 43 times, which ranks them 6th on our list of historical rivals between Boston College and Northwestern. And the vast majority of those games were played after 1978.

Can't find my favorite article on why ND hates Michigan, but this shorter write-up summarizes some of the more important points. They're an enemy, not a rival; and we don't give succor the enemies of the Church.

Why does every ND fan sound like they're 150 years old when they're talking about the Michigan rivalry? Yes, some guy was racist to us in 1909. Yes, we weren't playing them in 1920. Who tf cares?

From a decade before I was born, to when I was a kid, to when I watched and attended all four years of college, to when I danced the chicken dance at their cowardly asses, Michigan was our major rival, second only to USC. But I guess they're not our real rival, like, you know, Northwestern. lmao, come on.

We have one friend (Navy), one rival (USC), and one enemy (Michigan). I get that many fans grew up in the Midwest which gave this series a special significance for them. But Purdue and Michigan State have a lot more historical significance, and neither of those schools tried to strangle our program in its infancy. In fact, MSU was one of the only regional schools that risked playing ND when Yost black-balled us. Let's play the Spartans instead.

A slot on our schedule is a very valuable thing, and there are 130 FBS schools in Division I. I'd rather give the benefit of that slot to any of the 129 schools other than Michigan. F*ck 'em.

Amen on all fronts, and I'd gladly take MSU back on the schedule.
