Michigan has signed 17 recruits to NLIs from their twelfth ranked (247) class. Two others - Otis Reese, OLB (their top rated commit) and Kevin Doyle, a second QB recruit, who has said he would not sign until Feb - have deferred.

man I loved that pick-up. Seriously. His competition is suspect obviously being that he's from Germany, but he leaps off the screen with his length/athleticism.

247 mods Simmons/Witflong said he's a legit 6'6, 250 ish and they rate him on their own ratings as a 4*.

Totally worth a flier on. He works out, you could have something special. If not? Oh well it was worth a shot.

If he doesn't work out with FB, let him play goalie on the soccer team.

Haha, Michigan sucks. Losing to South Carolina! Doesn’t get much better than ND beating LSU, while those turds lose.

listening to the Ticket here in Detroit this morning was glorious. The salty tears flowing out of my radio all the way to work.

Looking forward to kicking khakis ass later this year.

Wasn't that great?!? And yeah, looking forward to scUM beatdown on 9/01. I hope that it's worse than the last time those azzholes were at ND stadium. I hope that it's so bad that 'ol khaki pants pisses all over himself!

I don't know how people get mad about this shit still. I just turn off, because for the last decade Michigan football has been either a disappointment or in a brief interim period that sets you up to be disappointed. But yes many many people still get fucking furious about Michigan football for some reason.

I'm tired of talking about it. I'm tired of this cycle that always seems to be at the bottom. I'm tired of this toxic-ass fanbase screaming at stuff. I could muster some takes, I guess, but I've already said them and anyway they seem beside the point. December was nice since it lacked football. 2018, so far, is bad because it had football.

In a situation like that I'd rather not talk about football. Especially because I have nothing left to say. Maybe it'll be better next year. Maybe it won't. Either way it's a meaningless distraction on the way to the grave. Eat at Arby's.

Stolen from r/cfb

With Notre Dame's win vs. LSU and Michigan's loss to South Carolina yesterday, Notre Dame again overtakes Michigan as the NCAA's All-Time Leader in Winning Percentage at .730

Notre Dame previously held this lead, iirc, two years ago before Michigan briefly overtook them after their 4-8 season last year. Now ND has the title and it's hard to see a viable path for Michigan to overtake them unless they vastly outperform ND next year.

Interesting to note that regardless of whoever wins the matchup next year between M and ND, Notre Dame will still hold the edge in winning percentage (even if they lose). One thing worth calling out, as I didn't know this - winning percentage is calculated as (Total Wins + Ties * 0.5) / (Total Wins + Losses + Ties).

Win % if Michigan wins next year:

M - .72879

ND - .72926

Win % if ND wins vs. Michigan next season:

M - .72803

ND - .73005

Major Changes Coming to U of M Offensive Coaching Staff – Detroit Sports Rag

This article always comes with the caveat that I don’t know much about college football, but I do have good sources when it comes to the University of Michigan. Not sure how much of this is out there and I don’t have time to look, so here ya go …….

1] To the shock of exactly no one, Jim Harbaugh is looking to shake up his offensive (you could read that either way) coaching staff in a major way after the team’s abysmal production in 2017 that saw the team throw fewer touchdowns than Navy’s triple run option attack (10 to 9) and the changes are coming very soon.

2] The name that is getting a lot of run to replace offensive coordinator Tim Drevno is current Baltimore Ravens offensive assistant and tight ends coach Greg Roman who has a lot of experience with the entire Harbaugh clan.

Here is Roman’s bio from Wikipedia. Hopefully it’s accurate!!!!!

Screen-Shot-2018-01-02-at-10.43.18-AM.jpg

3] Everyone who had a hand in the team’s pathetic offense in 2017 could be part of the shakeup — including Harbaugh’s own son, Jay Harbaugh.

4] Supposedly the first shoe to drop will be the departure of tackles/tight ends coach/run game coordinator Greg Frey and that should happen at any moment. He will be landing at his alma mater Florida State from what I am told.

That’s what I know.

(You can follow Moss on Twitter @JeffMossDSR. You can discuss this article on Facebook by clicking here. You can also go fuck yourself if you’d like. Totally up to you.)

No momentum coming in the offseason for these turds. We need to be ready to kick some A$$ this year and no doubt will be ranked inside top 15 while UM might be 24. Poor Sourdough I mean Harbaugh. Piss really shows up on Khaki pants.

Don't see Harbaugh beating OSU next year. The MSU game will also be going green. Loss to ND and the seat gets real hot. Not much thermal protection to khakis

Fuck 'em! Hope Harbaugh gets beat next season good, he makes a hasty exit and Michigan falls farther back into mediocrity so we can retake the winningest program lead.

Harbaugh's seat is virtually unassailable. It would take several years of losing seasons to change that.

Unfortunately, as was later pointed out in that thread, the numbers given here are incorrect. ND is still one game behind Michigan in winning percentage.

Current:
ND 906-324-42 (72.877%)
UM 943-339-36 (72.914%)

Win Percentage if ND wins Week One 2018:
ND 72.899%
UM 72.858%

This is all barring the NCAA Infractions Appeals Committee’s upcoming ruling on the 2012 and 2013 seasons, about which I am not optimistic.

I don't know. While I agree that he seems untouchable, if he loses all three of those games it's hard to imagine he doesn't start feeling the pressure.
