I'm not saying that conference championships mean nothing. conference championships mean something. they don't mean everything however.

That's cool you believe that and all, but yeah, no. I would never in a million years argue that Michigan should be ranked ahead of a team that beat them by 39 points. That's over 5 touchdowns.

Like I said, if we had only beaten them by like 3 or 7 in a really close game that could've gone either way- have at it. Got no problem with it.

But that's not what happened. They got wiped off the field by Michigan.

Wasn't Penn State missing like 6 starters off of their defense back when Michigan played them? They got them back in October and see how improved the team is now. They would not beat Penn State again 49-10. The committee might have factored that in as well.

You know you can't use facts and common sense to argue why Michigan isn't as good as he thinks.

CFP committee makes no sense ranking Penn State ahead of Michigan and Florida State ahead of Louisville.

I'll discount head to head if it was a close game. See: OSU v. PSU.

But Louisville beat FSU by 43 and Michigan beat Penn State by 39. That's hard for me to ignore. If they were TD or less games- sure ignore it. But 43 and 39 points? Yeah, not buying it.

While the overall body of work is analyzed you cannot say that PSU is playing better football than you are right now. 10 straight wins vs your losing 2 out of your last 3. Not falling in rankings after losing to a bad Iowa team. Everything was setup for you and you were blowing OSU out of the water. Then the 4th quarter came. 0 first downs and 5 yards and a lot of whining. So the team that you suggests shouldn't be ahead of you has won 1 more game than you, won their conference while you finished 3rd in your division. They also beat the teams you couldn't.

Much like many Michigan fans butthurt that ND won't join the BIG the arguement was always well if you don't join a conference you'll be left out of the playoffs because you can't win a conference championship. LOLz. Could you imagine the travesty if Michigan AND OSU were in because Washington lost? And then PennSt is sitting at 5 wondering WTF.

Yes they were. They are a different team now, as evidenced by their win streak.

No. They were missing 3.

Michigan was missing guys too. Taco Charlton, Maurice Hurst Jr, and Bryan Mone. Had all 3 of those guys played, Penn State probably doesn't get a single point.

They played. And Michigan won 49-10.

Cry all you want, but don't lose to Iowa and this is all a moot point.

It's becoming a requirement that B1G coaches each have a head-scratching offensive failure in a huge game each year.

pOSU had the MSU game last year and the Penn State game this year.

scUM got in on the act with the Iowa game this year. Who will it be next year?

Michigan played Florida last year in the Citrus Bowl in Orlando and made a big statement winning 41-7.

You mean the same Florida team that had to go to OT to beat Florida Atlantic, lost to FSU the next week in game where they couldn't score any offensive TD's and then lost again the next week to Alabama? Yeah that Florida team was garbage.

Venables, Brown, blah blah blah.

Jimmy Lake is the home run hire and he might even take the ND job if Oregon chooses Willie Taggert over Bryan Harsin.

Haven't watched a FSU game this year. How do they fair against Michigan?

I'm hoping for a FSU win. I'm tired of seeing 'Michigan is one of the best 4'. If you're one of the best 4, don't lose to Iowa. And if you must lose to Iowa, make up for it by beating OSU.

very young team, freshman QB but Dalvin Cook can do damage if the OL can get push. quite inconsistent but demarcus walker is a force.

I reckon SCUM will handle them though.

You people need to quit with the "never gonna happen" line.

Stan Kroenke has a $2.6 BILLION stadium to pay for and has half the fans on his azz before year one is done.

What do you think $12M - $15M - $20M per /yr means to him? That's change in his couch, that's what it is and if a $5M- $10M higher coach's salary means a winner, he wouldn't blink. He gave $10.5M back in '14 to his Arsenal coach and they're in a ten year old, 60k seat stadium. I think Manchester City just paid $19M for their coach. It's happening around the world and he needs a winner.

If he believes Harbaugh will fill that new stadium and give him a winner, Harbaugh can seriously break the bank.

Money changes every thing you guys think is a lock.

You can never say never.

Highly doubt he takes that job though. I'd bet he's perfectly content with what he has now. He literally answers to no one. He wants to have a ridiculous signing day extravaganza with C-list celebrities and all-time pro sports greats like Derek Jeter, Charles Woodson, Tom Brady, and Ric Flair- he has a god damn singing day extravaganza. He wants to go do 400 satellite camps in 98 different countries- he does that. He demands his own private jet from Michigan to do that and to go recruit- he has it.

He went on a very public tirade against the officiating after the Ohio State game. He skipped the introductory press conference for the Orange Bowl. Michigan didn't say a word about either. It was the Big Ten that had to reprimand him. And after the Big Ten did that, Warde Manuel the AD at Michigan came out and said we consider the issues resolved- we support our coach- nothing to see here folks- move along. If he was in the NFL- none of that crap would fly.

The guy has absolute complete autonomy. What he says goes. He answers to no one. Forget all the deep ties he has to Ann Arbor and Michigan. Or that fact that he bought his parents a house and they live a few doors down from him. The guy has it MADE and he's getting paid $7 million a year- really $9 million this year because of that whole $2 million interest free loan/insurance crap or whatever the hell that was.

Dude is not going anywhere IMO. Especially losing to Meyer two years in a row and losing like that. He's a sore loser. As we saw at that press conference. He's not going to go anywhere until he beats Meyer into submission. That's going to be his lifes mission from now on I'd bet. He's a petty dude.

Agreed, it's very hard to see him leaving for at least a few more years. There is nothing about his current situation that makes it probable he'd jump to the Rams unless there is something utterly crazy behind the scenes we aren't privy to.

Kelly yes, Harbaugh no. Harbaugh is almost certifiable. Harbaugh is just a different breed.

You better have Ric Flair in the all time pro sport greats category and not in the C-list celebrities.

I would just say this- if he offered to pay Harbaugh $20 million a year then all hell would break loose. The NFL owners wouldn't have it.

Belichik is maybe the greatest coach ever of all-time in the NFL- and he makes just under $10 million a year.

IF the Rams owner was crazy enough to offer Harbaugh $20 million a year- I think the other NFL owners would want to hang him by the neck. That's at least double what any other coach is making. Like I said, Belichik doesn't even make $10 mil.

I tend to agree that he isn't going anywhere just yet. But he better be able to beat the Buckeyes and show he can win big on the national stage. He has done neither at Michigan yet. Lose to Urban and company a couple more times and see how much power he really has.
