Not that I know of. There was a poster named Irish who has disappeared.

Fighting the zombie hordes is hard. But I try to remember how enemy fan bases are treated here and sometimes I troll over that line over there (Its not hard go figure). What I have come to learn is that there are a whole lot of idiots over there and then a bunch of pretty decent guys.

Much like you give reputation here, you can upvote or downvote a post or reply there. Typically a newbie enemy fan base person gets run out quickly. I have somehow managed to collect like 2600 Mgopoints. I have become respected. Lolz, our as close to it as possible.

Do you shower after you visits?

ESPN's coverage is painful.

Only redeeming thing is when they go to Kaylee Hartung in Tuscaloosa.

I forwarded that to Jay Harbaugh  It's not the first time I've tried to remind him that their TE's can't touch ours.

Michigan 12 recruits?

39th Class at 247

61st at Rivals

It's amazing they recovered with that many, given the fact they had half that number a month or so ago. I figured Harbaugh would be able to get somewhere between 10-15 by signing day though, given his name alone and the excitement of a new scUM coach. Still, they may have a hard time in a few years as that '14 class and this year's 15' class ain't nothing to write home about, still think they'll be rebuilding in a few years when those classes are upperclassmen.

ESPN airing Austin Hatch's story on Sunday. This kid is truly amazing. As much as I dislike Michigan, I have a tremendous amount of respect for John Beilein. He honored his athletic scholarship even when he could've done otherwise. He is a true class act. Here's a clip from ESPN gameday where they interviewed Austin and Beilein.

UM's Austin Hatch subject of ESPN special

The story of Austin Hatch and his unlikely and incredible journey to Michigan after surviving two plane crashes that killed his family and dog is well known.

Hatch, who recovered from a medically-induced coma after the second crash and had to relearn how to walk and play basketball, has been limited in his freshman year at UM. But Hatch has played in three games this season and had a celebrated free throw against Wayne State in an exhibition game and another against Coppin State.

Hatch's story will get the ESPN treatment with the premiere of "Miraculous: The Austin Hatch Story" that will air on several of the network's platforms this weekend.

A condensed version of the feature debuts on Sunday during the 10 a.m. SportsCenter, with subsequent airings throughout the day. The full half-hour special on Hatch will air at 6 p.m. Monday on ESPNU and a radio version will be on "The Sporting Life with Jeremy Schaap" on ESPN Radio at 7 a.m. Saturday and on the website as a podcast.

"I've met some amazing people," said Dan Arruda, producer of the piece for ESPN. "But I've never met anyone who's gone through as much work as he has and dealt with as much tragedy as he has."

Michigan (13-9, 6-4 Big Ten) plays Iowa tonight at Crisler Center and at Indiana on Sunday.

"Miraculous: The Story of Austin Hatch" (Condensed feature)

10 a.m. Sunday, ESPN

(Additional airings on SportsCenter throughout the day)

"Miraculous: The Story of Austin Hatch" (Full feature premiere)

6 p.m. Monday, ESPNU

There were at least two times while I was at ND that students tried to get the fight song changed to say "sons and daughters" instead of just "loyal sons" - that clearly worked out well. Besides, I don't think they're trying to replace "Hail to the dipshits", I think this is another song, just like we play "Hike ND, Rakes of Mallow, etc." so in that sense, it's pretty cool if you have another song that can play during games and it's produced by David Banner and Eminem.

Rakes isn't a Notre Dame song in fairness, its a Scots-Irish folk song that I believe was written before Notre Dame even existed... ND just uses it. But I get the point.

On the TEU thing, let UM have it, I'd gladly recapture QBU or The University of College Football in America titles instead.

As an Associate Blue Hair, hidebound by tradition, I have advocated for such a change since the school broke its most significant tradition by admitting women. It was my junior year at ND.

I had/have a solution that would preserve the cadence, meter and melody without any real sacrifice.

"While her loyal sons are marching
Onward to victory."

is replaced with

"While her loyal sons and daughters
March on to victory."

C'mon you stick-in-the-mud young'uns.

I just came across this at the Notre Dame Athletics site: "... The original lyrics, written when all athletes at Notre Dame were male, refer to 'sons,' but in recognition of the fact that the 'Victory March' is now played for athletic teams composed of men and women, many modify the words accordingly."

Sing it to yourself. IT REALLY WORKS! WAIT, THERE'S MORE! ---

In keeping with my grammarian/copy editor, I found a typo in the article. "verson" appears rather than "version." I'll have to contact them with a little poke in the ribs ...

Here's the message I sent:
There's a typo in the article
on The Victory March.Michigan "verson" (sic) should
apparently be "version."

Here's the response:
Thank you for your interest in Notre Dame athletics and for pointing this out. It has been corrected.

Being a picky-ass pays off and saves ND some embarrassment! Hooray for me!
