For whatever reason, OSU cannot put Michigan away like they should be able to... probably has something to do with the UofM players trying to make their entire season on that game.

Pretty much. Most years, whenever we'd play Michigan, they'd have their best games of the season against us and tOSU. They'd play like crap the rest of the season (At least in the last several years). You'd think they'd get up for "little brother" too, but MSU wiped the floor with them often times.

Next year the talent discrepancy between Ohio State and Michigan will be at its peak since Meyer took over. Unless Harbaugh is a miracle worker they probably lose by 28+ on paper.

Actually, to hear scUM players over the years, Sparty was not really considered a rival.

Due to MD and the brutal prison sex Sparty has committed on them lately on the gridiron, that belief may be changing. My MSU friends actually seem to be getting to the point that they love abusing the "Walverines", but are looking to Columbus as the place they have to get through to get what they want.

My sister attended MSU, so I do have a soft spot in my heart for them.

*ducks*

So I love the fact that Michigan has been routinely pounded by Sparty ever since Mike Hart called them the little brother.

Wolverine247 has confirmed that redshirt freshman defensive back Jabrill Peppers will shift from cornerback to safety in the 2015 season.

Peppers, who played sparingly last season while battling an undisclosed leg injury, played cornerback under Brady Hoke's staff, starting one game.

The former five-star prospect is expected to be a major contributor for the Wolverines this season, and a shift to safety puts him in a position to start at the strong spot alongside senior Jarrod Wilson, who will be the favorite to start at free safety for the third straight season

MSU is okay. Dantonio is likeable enough, he got one over on Kelly and we've had his number ever since. There's good history with the Spartans, going back to the days where Michigan tried to blackball them from the B1G just like they did with us. 10 years ago I would have said "screw 'em," as we consistently had problems with them at the turn of the millennium.

Of all our rivals MSU is the one I most enjoy watching win. In fact, if I had a second team they would probably be it. I don't really know why. I used to hate them for the flag stunt but we got our revenge and then some for that.

Gentry has good size but the level of competition is horrible in the state of NM. Makes Indiana talent look like Florida or Texas.

Brian Urlacher did fine.

Landry Jones did fine.

Timmy Smith, John Wooten, Bobby Newcombe, Jim Everett, Hank Baskett, etc.

But I'm with you.

Have a hot green chili eating contest and NM might hold their own.

Just flipped a 2 star UCONN OL commit. not sure what they see here.

Nolan Ulizio

So so far under Harbaugh they've flipped a 3 star DE from Nebraska, a real solid 4 star pro style QB from Texas who is going all in on Kyler Murray, and this 2 star OL.

Wouldn't be shocked if he got a decently ranked WR and/or TE now that they got a good QB

Yeah, FWIW Coach D at ISD said he was just "okay." Says that Gentry is better than Speight or Malzone, but still would only grade him at about 3.5 stars.

Anyone heard anything on Weber? There were rumors that he might flip to the Skunkbears as well.

They got some flips, most notably Gentry, but struck out on the Stanford FB (sad face) and UCLA CB.

What is wrong with being honest about how athletes get in to schools when they otherwise probably wouldn't be accepted lol?

My thinking is that it was probably the phrasing/context that was a problem. I mean, when has ND ever done something like that with a kid? Why would you ever bring up that someone isn't good enough/smart enough for your school? Just doesn't even make sense.

My guess is that Mattison was probably trying to contrast Michigan to Nebraska and say something like "Nebraska is ordinary/normal, Michigan is exceptional" and just phrased it like an idiot.
