My kind of fight. Reality is that we'd take him to Bryant-Lake Bowl, News Room, the Guthrie, Grand Old Creamery, chain of lakes, Sebastian Joe's, the Walker, and any of 100 other amazing places. He'd come around.

Well to be fair that wasn't a Michigan promotion.

According to the school, Coca-Cola purchased a block of tickets for the promotion, which was apparently not given the green light before it ran.

"Coke is a great partner of ours and had purchased a limited block of tickets for the Minnesota game for a Coke retail activation aimed at Michigan students," a Michigan spokesman said in an official release. "Due to a miscommunication in the approval process, this promotion should not have run as is.

"As a result, it is being pulled immediately. However, all purchases to date will be honored by Coke."

Devin Schott, a student manager at one of the stores in the student union offering Cokes-for-tickets, told CBS Local Detroit that the deal was "embarrassing" for the football program.

"It definitely doesn't reflect well on the program and how well we're doing – for sure,” Schott said. “It's honestly kind of embarrassing that that can even happen. It's definitely not a positive outlook.”

Michigan and Minnesota are scheduled for a 3:30 p.m. ET kickoff on Saturday in the Big House. The Wolverines are currently 10.5-point favorites in the contest.

Well...technically, Coke purchased a block of tickets and ran the publicity stunt for the Minnesota game , not Purdue (my bad). Brandon said it was not approved (but yeah... not buying that one). So it did happen, and they honored the tickets that were sold as part of it.

Brandon touts his corporate approach as an AD so this happening is on his watch, and its embarrassing.

Literally laughed out loud for that one. Michigan should be envious of Purdue. They should be envious of everyone. They need at least two decades of extreme humility to temper their arrogance.
