Interesting how his health problems only arise when things go south.

perhaps after he takes a couple years off, he can come get his old job (WR coach) back and work for OC Tommy Reesus.

I feel like Urban always acts like that on the sideline and it’s just drawing attention now because of the things that came out in the Zach Smith investigation and his football team is in bad positions more often than usual.

The only problem he has is his past is catching up with him and his team sucks this year. That is not health related. The anguish he showed on the sidelines had to do with his team getting embarrassed by Maryland.

Maybe, though he did admit to having a migraine during a game earlier in the year.

i mean, the guy does have a 20 year old cyst on his brain that required surgery to drain 4 years ago. it's not really a reach that he has migraines....

Has anyone checked the Bucknuts boards?

I’m too lazy, but just the thought of them bitching and moaning is a good time.

I've posted some links to BuckeyePlanet, they are super salty over there. The rage runs the gamete, but they're especially pissed we got in...like there was a possible chance we were going to get left out. They keep thumping the "But we played better against similar opponents" drum, but conveniently overlook the fact they got jail-sexed by Purdont

Was on a group text with a bunch of Buckeyes this morning.

3 weeks ago, to a man, they didn't want any part of the playoffs. They all thought they'd get boat raced.

Now, it's a travesty. It's like the rest of the season didn't happen.

They turned into the little guy yelling "Hold me back!" to his buddies as he confronts someone twice their size. In reality, they want no part of the situation, but feel obligated to make themselves look like jerk-offs because of the narrative they want everyone to believe.

Great analogy!

Well earned criticism, his play has been bad. Their LB's as a group are bad. They definitely aren't getting coached up by Clark Lea. He has the physical talent, zero question about that. He just looks lost half the time.

Borland is terrible. He's like their Joe Schmidt. How the heck Hilliard can't beat out either of them blows my mind

Back when I followed recruiting much more closely, I remember how salty I was when Hilliard and Cornell both committed to OSU. I looked up their 2018 stats: they have 20 tackles and 1 TFL combined. Bust city.

Well, it seems like the staff at least saw it coming with Cornell. Started to slow play him down the stretch, might have even dropped him. I really thought Hilliard would be a player. And he probably would be if he were at ND. As noted, their LB’s are garbage and look incredibly lost. I do get a kick out of how terrible Werner is playing. Probably shouldn’t but do.

Pat Forde just stated on Dan Patrick that he does not expect Urban back next year. How many coaching dominoes fall as a result?

Completely unsubsatiated, but a good buddy of mine who went to OSU said there's a rumor going around that Urban experienced another health complication after the b10 championship. Apparently more chest pains. I'd normally make a joke about his "issues" at UF, but the guy legitimately does not look well.

Ha. Meatchicken board talking about how stupid it was to put ND back on the schedule...too many rivalry games and shouldn't have to get up for three rivalry games every year. OSU board is clamoring to drop one it's conference games to be more like Alabama and their schedule. Both are probably right at some level...although pussy suggestions

I've seen numerous people say something like...

"Why do we schedule ND? What do we gain from that? They need us way more than we need them...they're nothing without us on their schedule...why are we playing into their hand?"

Truly, embarrassing amount of pussy. lol

Yup, I've seen that exact quote as well. I think the only way we ever have to join a conference is if good football schools start to refuse to schedule us.

Their entire board seems to forget that they called ND a bunch of chickens/pussies for dropping Mich from our sched a few years back.

Yeah, I've decided all year I'm refraining from the Urban Meyer jokes.

He's like 55, where he wants to be, and there's no reason he'd leave if he truly wasn't well. He even looks physically fit, a young 55, if you will. If somethings as bad as speculated, and he's quietly been fighting through just trying to make it to the end of the year, I commend him in that regard.

Obviously he's taken the easy way, covered stuff up, or been shady to get to the top. But he's a top 3 coach in the league and there are ~115 other coaches doing the same shady stuff to try to get there and they can't.

An imperfect person, but I'll always admire Urban in some regard, just like I will Saban.
