They just don't get it. Urban should have been fired, not allowed to leave on his own terms and given a cushy job in an office. Ohio is right. The second OSU slips up next year the suckeye fans will be clamoring for Urban to coach again. It's going to be like how NBC handled the Leno/Conan fiasco, except neither of them was a scumbag POS.

Dakich said Shelly Meyer texted him and said she hopes Urban never coaches again. Wait Shelly, I thought Urban was retiring? Dakich thinks he'll coach again.

So they let Grinch leave town to then fire Schiano and bring in a Greg Mattison to team with Jeff Haffley (49ers DB coach). Not sure I get this one.

I guess he will have to settle for teaching his Fox Sports Associates about Character and Leadership.

Gets involved in broadcasting, repairs image, slowly gets in the good graces and "missed" by CFB fans, grows through leadership/character teaching, becomes ND's coach in 2021.

He knows he could never out-championship Saban. But winning a title at ND would give him something unique that would have some arguing he's the greatest ever.

Zero italics.

Urbie to Fox Sports as an analyst sounds like a done deal

Does this mean he's not the assistant AD or whatever at OSU anymore?

I never really expected him to stay in that position or really do anything in it. I think it was more of a face saving decision. He may hang onto it, but it's probably just in title.

The chances of this happening was slim before, but after what's happened recently, the door has been closed, locked and nailed shut.

Didn't he take a similar administrative role in Florida for a really short time period before he went to ESPN? Or did he hold onto that position while working for ESPN?

Fuck that. That ship has sailed, and he's too damn dirty now, wouldn't touch him with a 10 foot pole. His stops have all been ending badly, and he's had way too many players end up with questionable character and criminal issues. He's not a good mentor.

Yeah I'd take a few years off from football if ND hired Urban.

Wouldn't normally post a lower lever recruit committing to pOSU, but I thought this was interesting since this kid is Matt James cousin.

forced out to make room for Enokk V?

Nope. They visited Nester every week possible during the recruiting period including 4-5 coaches coming the last day of the recruiting period for his in-home. On top of that, they are willing to accept Vimahi and Dawand Jones right now so if he was forced out it is also to make room for Dawand Jones who’s simply not as good of a prospect as Doug Nester. They lost this one, plain and simple.

Yeah, I see Doug Nester as one of the 4-5 guys in this class that could turn into Q-Lite.

Ohio State watched a lot of talent leave the state this year in their quest to be the best coast to coast recruiting team.

Time for a phone call to Luke Wypler. Your primary recruiter is gone. Time to visit the good guys.
