of course

The NCAA took a look at their QB depth chart and it became an easy call.

For what little it is worth, I heard he was once called the N word at a sporting event by a Daws fan and fellow classmate.

He documented the incident when it happened, so it was officially on record.

What I heard was this was his "reasoning". Obviously something as sensitive as racism, especially a documented case, the NCAA isnt touching with a 1p foot pole.

They let him go rather than fight that, and I dont blame them.

Notre Dame should offer Trevor Lawrence. What else has he got to achieve at Clemson?

I don't expect it, but how crazy would that be that Schiano is on tape visiting for a "happy ending".

At Krafts home in FL.
Kraft: Greg, Bill said he wants to hire you, so I wanted to get to know you a little better. Thanks for flying down.

Schiano: Sure Bob. I'm excited to being joining such a great organization.

Kraft: Greg, I like to keep these interviews informal and relaxing.

Schiano: That's fine with me Bob.

Kraft: Come on Greg, I know a place where we can really relax.

Let me guess, the only person that isn't safe is Brett McMurphy.

Ha, it's just gonna be a 'podcast' of Smith making all kinds of shit up about McMurphy, Tom Herman, and his ex-wife for two hours.

Dude's just trying to cash in on being a POS.

OSU mods have been saying for awhile that JJ's offer was never committable. I would think this puts UM in a good spot.

Surprised this hasn't been mentioned yet:

http://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/26774872/osu-football-players-allege-abuse-campus

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- An attorney preparing a lawsuit against Ohio State University on behalf of more than 50 former athletes who allege they were sexually abused by a team physician told The Associated Press on Saturday that most of his clients were football players from the Buckeyes' storied program, including some who went on to play in the NFL.

Dayton attorney Michael Wright said the abuse happened during required physical examinations at the Woody Hayes Athletic Center and during treatment for injuries and ailments at Dr. Richard Strauss' off-campus clinic and at his home, where he insisted they be seen.

Strauss killed himself in 2005, nearly a decade after he was allowed to retire with honors.

EDITOR'S PICKS

Ohio St. leaders knew of former doctor's abuse
A 232-page investigative report released Friday found that Strauss had sexually abused at least 177 male students, but the report made only one specific reference to football players while listing how many athletes from each team were abused. That list says three football players were interviewed.

Wright said he was not aware that any of his clients were interviewed by investigators from the Seattle-based Perkins Coie law firm.

An Ohio State spokesman declined to comment.

Investigators found that Strauss' abuse went on from 1979-1997 and took place at various locations across campus, including examining rooms, locker rooms, showers and saunas. Strauss contrived, among other things, to get young men to strip naked, and he groped them sexually.

The report concluded that scores of Ohio State personnel knew of complaints and concerns about Strauss' conduct as early as 1979 but failed for years to investigate or take meaningful action.

There's more in the article, but it's kind of crazy that Strauss' actions dwarf the counts that were against Penn State's Sandusky. They knew about it as early as '79 but did nothing, allowing him to continue working for 20+ years. Coming from a fanbase that often ridicules Sandusky and "Ped State" for their cover up, this is a whole 'nother level.

Truly horrific to read about how many students were abused from 1979-97, how many complaints were made, how so many administrators knew about the abuses and left him in place without doing anything, and despite that he was given an Emeritus Professor designation and allowed to retire without any referrals to law enforcement.

Penn State - 33+ victims - lawsuits settled for $109 million
USC - almost 300 victims - lawsuits settled for $215 million
Michigan State - 332 victims - lawsuits settled for $500 million
Ohio State - 177 victims -

Previous to Friday’s release, his accusers had alleged more than 20 school officials and staff members, including two athletic directors and a coach who is now a congressman -- Republican U.S. Rep. Jim Jordan -- were aware of concerns about Strauss but didn’t stop him.

THIS AGAIN (Eleven Warriors, May 18, 2016 )

There's just us, consistently making a sentinel event about football. We would rather demonize or defend a college football program than make meaningful advances to address the real scandal.

And then getting fatigued by this debate to nowhere, when we could instead be using Penn State and Jerry Sandusky as a catalyst to attack the ugliest, most unsavory parts of our society that produce over 6 million abused children annually. Unfortunately we don't particularly enjoy hearing about them. It's uncomfortable. Besides, they're largely invisible and tend to fade away into the noise of daily life. This Again.

If you insist on making this about Penn State, perhaps you should talk about how no other university does more for children's causes than it does, and leave football and the unfortunate past out of it. PSU has a significant lead on just about everybody else in this space. If you're a Paterno heavily invested in your family name equity or one of those useful goons, then do whatever. You've made your priorities clear.

How to get involved with Prevent Child Abuse America

But if you believe that sports - big, dumb, utterly meaningless, wonderful sports - can be a vehicle for a greater purpose than bragging rights and empty pride then consider becoming an ambassador for eradicating This Again from the list of things we cannot afford to become tired of hearing. Child abuse is not just yesterday's news. It is tomorrow's.

So the next time a new revelation, discovery or otherwise meaningless clickbait content is released where This Again will appear shortly thereafter, try not to fall for it. Let it be a reminder that your relatively comfortable world is quite fortunate, and not only can't some arguments be won, even engaging in them isn't worth your valuable energy. Other, far more valuable things could benefit from it instead. Be better than that debate.

We lost the plot while it was going on, but maybe it's not too late to learn from what's happened with the Penn State child abuse scandal since it ended in 2012. It's better to be righteous than right. If more people can be disciplined enough to do that, fewer of us will be wrong.

This is on par with MSU and the gymnastics doctor and 11 Warriors is swimming in Egypt?

WHY CAN'T WE DISCUSS THE STRAUSS INVESTIGATION?

I find it a little odd that 11W shut down comments on the Strauss investigation threads. Yes, people are bound to have terrible takes on this, but those get taken care of pretty quickly by the community. Not letting people talk about it is exactly the kind of attitude that took it this long to come out. I recall us being able to discuss freely the MSU and PSU cases, so this certainly seems a little hypocritical. A little insight into this decision would be appreciated.

It doesn't diminish any of it, but I think that Sandusky getting caught naked in the shower is what brought this more to light than these incidents that occured in a somewhat private setting. Regardless OSU needs to get out in front and stay there.

some posters on 11 Warriors are level headed, then you have the knuckleheads that want to spin it in any direction they can as long as it doesn't point to OSU.

https://www.elevenwarriors.com/foru...104288/more-than-50-former-athletes-suing-osu

This comment is priceless.

Floyd Stahl 18 MAY 2019, 5:44 PM
Leave it to ESPN to sensationalize the case for clicks. On their front page under headlines it says, "OSU football players allege abuse on, off campus."

There were only three football players listed in the investigative report. Granted, the article says a number of them are now suing the university, but it's outrageous, yet nor surprising, how the WWL is trying to put the focus on the football team.

So tell me Floyd Stahl, what is the appropriate number of abuses before this is considered illegal and repulsive behaviour?

Attorney is representing fifty football players who said they were sexually abused by Strauss. His actions over almost twenty years were well known among players tried to stay away from him - and many of the Admin, with the complaints ascending to the level of Vice-Presidents. He would run the last lap of laps with the players in order to shower with them.

Details of the investigation findings of abuse. Some of his actions w.r.t. student-athletes start on p. 55. (Graphic)
See report at the bottom. https://www.npr.org/2019/05/17/7243...t-least-177-male-students-investigation-finds He also started a Private Mens Clinic off-campus. Report also details who knew what and when due to complaints.

These types of abuses have repercussions from the federal government.
