This is actually really interesting then if she is seen as a part of staff. Idk the legality of that though. On pg 7 though it talks about individuals who don't need to report and in there it does mention factuly of the medical department unless the case is non-confidential which this case may fit that circumstance. I still would say we need to be on the side of caution before saying that she HAD to, by law, tell someone.

The general rules of confidentiality for health care providers are limited to disclosures made during the course of and for the purposes of providing/receiving treatment. IIRC, the victim claimed she sent photos of her injuries to Mrs. Meyer so it seems very, very unlikely to me that any duty of confidentiality is applicable to the facts before us.

I'm pretty sure you could find similar stories at every University, including Notre Dame. Maybe not that bad, but Harry Hiestand was a hard coach and out-of-context a lot of his stuff could absolutely be spun as "verbal abuse".

My buddy played at IU under Wilson and said the only ones that complained about him being hard were entitled kids who didn't get to play, and quite frankly, had no reason to be on the team other than the fact their parents are boosters. Yet Wilson got labeled as an abusive coach.

Will second this. My buddy's kid played for him and they all had nothing but praise for him.

I can also say I have a buddy that played center at IU for Wilson, had absolutely nothing bad to say about him.

Yeah most of that stuff sounded like sour grapes. Lots of football fans like the nasty tough game and like the nasty tough players but don't like seeing how the sausage gets made. Guys don't instinctively throw themselves headfirst into a 230 guy running full speed the opposite way.

This

trying to put real world context into a college football environment is so unfair. Just the basic expectations of a college player would be illegal in every other part of society.

In no way does this post support Urban Meyer.

It's funny. I can imagine one of OSU's lawyers just pounded a fist on the table, perplexed because Bob Evan's, of all f*cking things, is going to force OSU's hand.

What a sad restaurant, very bland food. Gimme local diners

Greg Schiano and Kevin Wilson have baggage. That's just the way it is. Making Day the interim was probably the smart play.

If they do relieve Meyer from his duties, you have to wonder where they turn next. It may not be Schiano in a slam dunk. That dude has baggage too. They've hit on their hires since Hayes, at least hit in terms of finding guys who win or put winning above all else.

Ohio State has let Hayes and Tressel go because of their actions. They both won NC. Maybe different administrations, but they have a history here of not being afraid to let go of winners.

Just 3 days after being named Bob Evans' Head Breakfast Coach. Dang

Tough break. It's like the Supreme Court. There's just not that many Head Breakfast coaching positions that come open very often. He may not have another opportunity to be a HBC.

I know guys who played for Meyer at BGSU. They loved him. Knew very little of what he did outside of meetings and practice, but as the coach and leader? They'd have run through brick walls for the guy.

The best part of the Bob Evans situation is it's a Columbus based chain.

I think it's important to note BE has suspended not ended the relationship at this point.

But here's hoping it's officially ended soon.

That's the thing about Shelley Meyer.....what was she thinking...not reporting this.

Urban has to go.....but how on earth is she not getting buried with those list of texts she had with Smith?

Bitch Is either lying or the story isn't being completely told. I was taught through my employers that the looking up and to the right doesn't completely mean a lie. If done at a rate in which she does... Either she's looking for the words on a board or she Is making things up as she goes. She knows as well as anyone involved that there is no recourse of this action. Absolutely insane!

By the way... I hate Ohio State and would love for this to be real.

I caught that as well, but don't believe one bit it really means suspended.

They could always hire this guy.

I've mentioned before, but worth repeating. I use to work with a guy that lived in Arkansas, is a huge Razorback fan and has some connections. Petrino wasn't the one at the controls of the bike when they wrecked. Moral of the story......You can hire a hot chick with no experience to a high paying job and bang her all you want. Just don't let her drive your bike.

Also, don't get on the motorcycle with her after her fiance [allegedly] already beat you up in the parking lot of the football facility once lol.

Alright I just got a really good scoop that is a complete 180 from what I heard earlier that he was gone. Looking at 4ish game suspension but not being fired. Her story is very much incomplete. Can't really say more sorry guys.

Caveat to all this is that once sponsors start leaving and the backlash gets too hot he could be let go anyway. What I know is the intention is not to fire him right now.

Sounds about right, back to what we expected.

I'd be ok with him being off suspension just in time to paddle Harboner and Michigan.
