at the beginning of this, it looked really bad for Urbs.....but now, I would be surprised if he gets more than a few games suspension.

It would not surprise me at all if Sanctimonious Urbs gets off with a 'light' reprimand.

I would be shocked if he loses his job.

I read the transcript of Urban denying the Zach Smith issue. At some level it felt like Clinton denying the Monica affair. Maybe he was protesting to much. Maybe I'm reading too much into his statements. Reading the comments I think most people felt he was disingenuous. If they keep him on staff there will be a wiff of damaged goods. Didn't work so well for Bobby Knight.

As of now, I bet that Meyer gets suspended for X number of games and is back in the fold like nothing ever happened. He & Shelley will donate a pot of money to a domestic abuse or battered women charity. She will step down (or be removed) from her RN post at tOSU and head up the charity.

Meyer will put up w/ the questions for only so long before he starts whining how it’s old news & time to move on. I can even see him crying about opponents using it against him on the recruiting trail which will be ironic as no one can negatively recruit better (vs ND) than Meyer.

tOSU fans will tout the fact that their school didn’t hesistate to part ways w/ Woody & Tressel so if there was any truth to charges vs Urban, tOSU would’ve done the same. We all know it’s BS and it will go round & round until the guy finally retires.

UrbanLiar at OSU is the worst case scenario for ND. I'd 100% rather have Saban at OSU, Dabo at Bama and Vanables take over Clemson as long as Urban is doing something other than coaching CFB.

There is some truth in what Crusader is saying. Wiltfong has repeatedly said that much of what Urban is doing at pOSU is creating an environment that attracts high quality kids that care about their education etc. So you end of with high character kids like NPF, Harry Miller, Dallas Gant, etc that would've been more likely to be awesome fits at ND, that ends up at pOSU instead.

If Saban was at pOSU, it would be a true football factory. Some of those high character kids might not be attracted to that kind of atmosphere.

The way this is shaking out, it feels like either Meyer or Gene Smith will be gone by the start of football season. I don't know enough about OSU internal politics to know who wins that fight. But reading about this pathetic rally today, it sure looks like Meyer's people have succeeded in pointing the finger at Smith.

Saw a clip of the rally. Curious about how much support Meyer is getting? The crowd if you can call it that, was probably no more than 20-25 people from what I saw. One sign was bashing ESPN! Hell, they were late to the party! lol

I also find it curious that you're not seeing former players come out in large masses to support Meyer.
