[T Town Tommy]

Some of the reports today mentioned he'd wanted to move into an on-field coaching position, but I'd been unaware of it before. TTT is a lot better connected down there than I am, so he may have some insight.

Scott wanted an on the field role as a coach. Problem is he doesn't have the experience. His role as S&C coach can be replaced fairly easily IMO. It's the other things that he brought to the table that will be more difficult to replace. He was an extension of Saban when Saban wasn't around the players. He kept them on the straight and narrow. That was huge.

Good luck to him in Athens and hope he is successful. He gave Bama all he had while he was there. Couldn't ask for more.

Had the same dream. Ball was awarded to Irish on replay at the Bama 2 with a run up the middle netting 7. On-sides kick catches the Tide flatfooted. After an offsides on the Irish, a pass to our All-American TE on a crossing route scoring another TD. 24-21 Irish. ND will receive the 2nd half kickoff.

Not sure after that....

I had a dream. Alabama scores first as Saban uses his special red towel signal to get ref to trip our cornerback and the resultant bomb nets six. 7-0. Clark Lea adjusts defense by sending leprechaun to steal red towel, and threaten refs with cudgeling with the sheelaighlee. They cower and leave field to be replaced by guys named O'Brien, Doyle, Murphy, and Walsh. Game now continues on level playing field. Book throws six TDs and Lea's defense gives up one more. 42-14. Late in game, Kelly inserts grad transfer Antony Two-Ton Morgan at RB. Morgan is 5'8" 398. Bama muscles up. Book hands ball to Morgan who smashes through the line with eight guys on his back. Finally he goes down. He doesn't have the ball. Book is standing in the endzone for TD number 7. Saban goes ballistic about trick play running up the score --- something he never does. Kelly smiles. ND recovers onside kick next play. Book sprints to sidelines and hands ball off to Saban. Clock expires.

I wasn't kidding about the dream. I really did dream we were playing and you guys threw an INT and my DB screwed up the return. It seemed so real and vivid. I even remember that both teams were wearing their home uniforms.

Never heard of her, but I've been gone from there for more than a decade. She's a cutie, though. I never had any desire to stick my hands under a rock in a pond or stream and catch catfish this way. Too scared of finding a snapping turtle (or worse) and losing a few fingers. BTW, she's apparently from the next county over from where I grew up, but the accent is quite different. Nobody I knew growing up had that accent. The South can be like NYC in that there are dozens of very different accents and they can change from neighborhood to neighborhood. I remember when I was still living there that we all thought the people from Cullman had an especially strong accent.

Nobody I knew growing up had that accent. The South can be like NYC in that there are dozens of very different accents and they can change from neighborhood to neighborhood. I remember when I was still living there that we all thought the people from Cullman had an especially strong accent.

That's probably about right! I hope so, at least. I think if he'd missed the Georgia game it would've been a problem. Against Auburn this year? Probably won't make much difference. I just hope he doesn't have any complications and that he makes a full and speedy recovery.
