So Loy spends half his time reading IE? Maybe he should use that time talking to more recruits and coaches.

Usually I always fix titles that aren't properly capitalized, but this is one of those potential thread of year nominees, and you don't mess with that. You don't shave a lion's mane.

Unless I have a job interview.

Then I gotta shave.

Would be great if Loy just lurked and got half of his premium takes from the shit that Lax posts.

But Lax doesn't usually post info, it's more like "something's going on and I don't want it to be on the board but just so you know I know about something and when it goes public, I'll come back to say yeah that's what I knew all along".

Correct. Well, sort of. I post it in the mod forum (if allowed by whatever source gave me info) and share it in PM with certain people who also share stuff with me. We have a good community here, and I don't sit on stuff unless specifically asked to.

I rarely post stuff publicly because:
1. Half the time I hear stuff it's wrong, so I have no interest posting something and then having you crawl up my ass like the little gerbil you are if it's incorrect.
2. Some stuff would cause a shit storm for someone if posted publicly... so it's best not shared. Like what Davonte Neal allegedly did, or when we sat on the Frozen Five for awhile before anyone got suspended in case that was untrue.
3. You would get to read it if I posted it here.

I actually have known for a long time what Neal did, along with a lot of other things, I just don't care to let ppl know I know because I like boobs and banging women.

Hmm. I'm skeptical, given how much time you spend with Driskell's dick in your mouth.

I'm pretty late on this but let me join others in saying that recruiting reporters know less about law than I do about rocket science. They do not own the information they report.

Just because I need to buy a subscription to Wall Street Journal doesn't mean I'm not allowed to discuss any articles/information/quotes/statistics I learn with another person or persons. That's essentially the position these guys are taking. That's freaking stupid.

I've always thought about this ever since I first heard paid sites bitching about IE. Do they expect people to not openly discuss information they read and hide it like it's some Illuminati sheet ?

You stole the words from my keyboard, Grey.

Just because they label their shit "VIP," it's not magically protected from normal law. I pay for access to my local paper. Does that mean I can't discuss the story, paraphrase information, or share interesting quotes?

Amen. I'm fine with the whole linking specific info if it's paraphrased directly from an article, but frankly, Loy can eat a dick. The people paying for their info have no legal obligation to keep that information to themselves. Now, people can't use their words without reference and there should be a certain level of decorum around how one discusses their comments. But here is a simple fact:

Joe Recruit tells Loy that he's a silent and Loy writes a "VIP" article about said silent. The very moment that he puts that information into the universe, he loses all rights to it. I cannot come on here and say "Loy wrote that Joe Recruit told him [\insert quote]", but he has zero legal right to the knowledge of him being a silent. If we have a poster that reads that and posts, without any reference to Loy, that he heard that Joe Recruit is a silent.... there isn't dick that Loy can do about it.

NY Times can't make a VIP section and then sue a forum poster for talking about the dirt they wrote about a politician in a VIP tweet. They don't own the information, they own their written word. They own nothing more than then their verbatim quotes. If Lindsey Lohan blows Will Farrell in Times Square, the moment TMZ informs us it becomes public knowledge. They can't protect that information from being spread.

This is America.

Jake Brown back from the gym > Tom Loy

But for real, I only hope that he reads the last few posts to see what kind of people he is dealing with. Individuals who are sharp and love Notre Dame enough to not make money off it and simply enjoy what it has to offer the common fan. I know that this is how he makes a living, and the fact that at the website IrishEnvy you can learn everything he has to offer and more (like humor and commeradery) for free if we steal his work, but there's no way he has the right to tell PANDA what to do and not do.

I stand with panda.

That being said, I commend PANDA for being the bigger man here and taking the high road. Truly a commendable thing and I hope someday you will be able to post freely again.

Damn, this sure flew under the radar.

Truly hilarious, but would have to imagine if this was reversed koon would have had been getting some sort of slap on wrist no?

This is one of those situations where I'm like, is it homophobic if I DO reprimand somebody for a dick-in-the-mouth joke?

Like there's nothing wrong with dudes liking dudes, so am I assuming somebody's orientation if I assume it was an insult worthy of reprimand?

I'm so confused.
