It hurts. But if the kid is not strong enough to live apart from his loved ones, he needs to go. So be it. Best of luck.

Lucky for us Nix, Tuitt, Day, and Jones are all 4+ :s: guys.

Our d-line will be fine, but I'm talking in general. We missed out on a 5-star corner, a 4.5 star corner, a 5-star WR, and now a 5-star d-line. That's a lot to overcome. It's not the end of the world, but guys like that can make a lot of plays in a game. I mean, imagine how many plays per game Deontay, Lynch, Shepard, and Darby would have made 2 years from now? Guys like that can make huge impacts. See, Mike Floyd, Manti Teo.

If I was this kids mom I would be furious that I packed up and moved to Cleveland.

There is elite talent at ND. Yes, there have been some defections lately. Yes it stings. To say that ND has only 3* talent now would be knocking the blue chip players that are there. Kids today leave at the drop of a hat. It is not just happening at ND. It is happening everywhere. Did ND not get a running back this year from usc? Kids are leaving high schools to go play at the rival school because they just wanted to. At the school I coach at, we lost 2 starters this year. Why? One left because he didn't get a star to put on his helmet after a game. This was in the middle of the damn season and we give out stars for team and individual goals. The goal he and his parents were mad about was penalties. We had to many, so no star. Their response was, "he didn't have any penalties." The other left because his mother has a fling with that teams offensive coordinator. We have gotten 1 player this semister from a neighboring school and will probably pick up one or two more over the summer.
It is happening everywhere at every level. That's all I am saying.

This is depressing.

This is depressing.

Mother walked by my tailgate with here "mama lynch" jersey in Landover, and was a very nice lady. Had some nice banter with her.

This just sucks on so many levels. Finally a defnsive player to really live up to hype his freshman year. Was Soooo excited to watch him the next 2-3 years, but life sometimes just kicks you in the balls. AND this is certainly one of those times

Good luck and God bless Aaron.

Hopefully, Tuitt see there is an opportunity to take of the "face of the program." As TerryTate mentioned, we have other highly recruited kids along the d-line. It sucks but we still have a lot of practices to adjust and get better. Especially, with more reps going to those who want to be here.

Was an attitude problem and heart not in it. I don't feel bad nor am I upset. Still have plenty of talent to win. Does Niklas move back to the D?

Im not mad at him, but today he made a bad career decision.

Not only are we a better team and give him the opportunity to play this year, but when he does enter the draft, teams may shy away from him if they feel he cannot handle being on the road, being away from Florida, etc.

Every move these kids make is in the minds of the GMs and I hope Lynch considered that.

He didn't make a bad career decision. In 3 years, people in the draft aren't going to care that a DE transferred to be closer to home. You always take a chance on talent. Hell, they even do it for QBs, not to mention DEs that have far less on their responsibility on their shoulders.

If they think that he can't handle being on the road and being away from his family, how does that not hurt his stock?

Especially if the Bills, Jets, Giants and other cold weather cities get him.

Not saying this will hurt him considerably, but if you think it plays no factor, well then you are wrong.
