Misleading? I think it is just wrong. Has to be a better way to say whatever you were trying to say there.

"Omar Hunter avoided me like the plague."

hahahahahaha quote of the article. No mention of Chris Martin... was hoping to see some sort of reaction to his Facebook shenanigans.

You could have also changed it to "Why Weis left for Florida" Either way works.

It's a nice article and a completely different portrayal of Charlie compared to his time at ND.

The sad part is Florida fans probably don't realize they're getting Charlie in a situation better fit for him than he had at ND. I'll always respect the man. Best of luck to him and the family

For all of the shortcomings during his tenure, he's an ND guy who tried to do it right. He just didn't get it done, and that sucks because we had to fire one of our own. I like Charlie and I'll be cheering for them in everything but recruiting and games against ND, or games that have the potential to negatively impact ND.

Exactly. It was much harder to let CW go than TW. Charlie is an ND Man through and through, and he worked his butt off. He has a great skill set for OC but was really ill-prepared to be the head coach at ND. I wish Charlie and his family much success and happiness.

I, for one, am somewhat sad that Charlie Jr. won't be attending ND. I wonder how he personally feels about the University after some taking shots about him being on the sideline with his dad during games.

Charlie said in his last interview with II that there was "irrepairable damage" done to his family while they were at ND

I know some people personally who have told me that during his final season he had become somewhat hateful and mean...I suppose I could understand that if some things were done and said to him that he would deem "irrepairable damage". Players said he was a father figure, and he did try to do good during his tenure. Hearing that we may have pushed away someone who would have only wanted the best for their Alma Mater is disheartening.

By "good", I do mean good. Like helping those in need. Not mistaken with me saying he tried to do well during his coaching tenure. Anyone recall "Pass Right"?

Who could forget?

One of my biggest problems with the way the whole Weis thing went down is that I've always felt that winning should be, by a mile, the second priority of a Notre Dame football coach. While there's ample room to criticize the results on the field, there was none at all to criticize his development of young men off the field.

Let professional sports and the SEC worry about wins and nothing else. Notre Dame football should always be about something bigger.
