I read somewhere that ND was prepared for this, and has some options lined up, both in recruiting and in the portal, and it comes down to which they prefer.

Could just be more "please keep clicking our links prior to signing day" stuff, though.

I remember reading this on ISD and don’t recall them blowing smoke to keep clicks up nearly to the extent that other sites are accused of doing. Seems reasonable that the staff has their eyes on some guys.

Oh well, Limar never seemed fully sold on ND and if Oregon is handing him cash I hope he takes the money and runs.

Hope they are a middling squad for the duration of his career.

He was going to be buried, but probably not for long. There are going to be openings at RB after next season, if both Tyree (NFL/graduate transfer) & Estime (NFL) move on.

I think with whatever NIL they are throwing at him, coupled with him playing much closer to home are the biggest factors. Oregon has both Whittington & Irving returning next season.

It’s possible that Payne has been impressing the coaches after recovering from injury so Limar’s defection will open up more opportunity for him. Both he and Price will have a full 4 years of eligibility starting in 2023.

I don’t like him dipping even if we shouldn’t be worried about depth. Seemed very well rounded as a back. And any defection hurts.
This was why I was hoping he'd stay in the fold.

You're stacked on our depth chart until you ain't, then you're handwringing online blowing up bandwidth wondering how you got there and who is to blame.

I legit wonder how long all of these Oregon flips/commits have actually been committed to Oregon and they told them to wait until signing day...

Most of them a fairly long time. Some of them, like Novosad and Bowen, I think we’re very recent developments.

Prister seemed “excited” about this. Even when he was committed, kinda made it obvious he wished he wasn’t. (Playing time future, waste spot).

Prister downright did not like this guy. He’s obviously been wrong before, but I don’t think this is a big loss. Very tough road to playing time

Prister was fairly wrong about Kyren. Limar was a very productive back who could do great things in college. I thought he had good contact balance and never stopped driving forward. I think it's a loss but fortunately we have a lot of options.
