I hate these jersey number changes. Takes me about a third of the season to get them committed to memory. lol
Same - I basically stay off social media and my phone during the game, however I have the roster pulled up on my phone for the first couple games...getting old sucks...

What's Greathouse's ceiling? I'm not sure we've seen a receiver in his mold at ND in a while.

He just does a great job running his routes, getting separation, and I don't know if I've ever seen him drop a catchable ball. He's not lightning fast, but he doesn't have to be. He does the little things well, and it makes him a great receiver.

I know it's easy to say this now but IMO this is why we need to live in Texas recruiting. High school prospects come out of there so ready to play and the big schools are definitely battle tested. You could see from his high school tape that this dude was going to be good. Our lack of development at WR can't even screw up kids like this. Kudos to this guy's high school coach. He had him ready to play.

That's production. If Collins was in that neighborhood of catches/targets, our offense would be legit playoff caliber.
Feel like Collins is lagging the past few weeks. He seemed like the most surehanded WR, then he has drops. He gets lost out there. Jayden Thomas been quiet, too, but I wish they'd give him more burn.

Seems like every time we throw the football to Greathouse, Kris Mitchell &/or Jayden Harrison good things happen. Keep that up.

I think this was kind of inevitable for JT. He was rising to the top of a really bad WR group. Once they added real talent, he wounds disappeared.

Drop of the long ball is one of the reasons we lost to NIU.
It was uncharacteristic of him, but it wasn't THE reason we lost to NIU. He was one of two leading receivers for us in that game. They beat us in all 3 phases essentially. They had more yards passing AND rushing on offense with less turnovers, obviously their defense kept us out of the endzone, and they had two blocked kicks on ST. It was a total team failure, everybody including the coaches decided to mail it in after the tough game in College Station.

Point is, he's probably got the best hands on the team among all the WRs. There may be a case made for Harrison since he's come on late, time will tell.

Yup. There wasn't a single aspect of the game where we were better than NIU.

It should be a regular thing, honestly. It's good for any Texas players that we end up landing, and it's extra exposure in the state for our brand.
Lots of options to play in Texas every year like we do in Cali. SMU now in ACC; TCU in DFW area: Rice in Houston; TAMU or UT whenever they want; Baylor. Lesser opponents in UTSA, UTEP, or Texas State
Or, Shamrock type games in Dallas, San Antonio, Houston.

SEC loved it when TAMU joined, and now with Texas. Opens access to the lucrative recruiting, and as stated, players ready to go.
