That's where I'm at. Everyone is saying Vizzina is the better athlete, but is he running more by design of his offense vs. Moore's offense? There were a few times I thought he'd light up a cig back there waiting for Fuller to get open.
Agree overall. I just prefer a QB whose tendency is to keep his eyes down the field/make plays with his arm rather than a guy who is going to tuck and run at the first sight of danger. All I really want here is MF to land a guy with Manning's intangibles, Marino's arm and Vicks's legs. That's all.
Sorry for the long post, but I'm happy to answer if you're interested. First a Detroit disclaimer, lol.I know Dante is a good student (obviously) but how is MLK? Good/bad school, good/bad area? I don't know Detroit AT ALL, other then the bad stuff you see/hear. From the film, they seem to have some dudes, any other guys that we could/may offer that could help?
well there's always the option that not getting either of these two equals we got some other badass but that looks extremely unlikely at the moment. If they get neither, I would seriously doubt Rees would ever be able to recruit his position and would be ready for him to move on.
Striking out on both is simply not an option.
You can declare it's "not an option" all you want, but we're competing with Michigan for a kid from Detroit and several Southern powers for a kid from Alabama. There's at least a decent chance both choose someplace other than Notre Dame to play college football, no matter what the staff's efforts. If they get neither, I would seriously doubt Rees would ever be able to recruit his position and would be ready for him to move on.

This guy has been enduring Detroit for the past 10 years waiting for a prospect that he could finally get the inside scoop on. This is why I come to IE for my ND football news!Sorry for the long post, but I'm happy to answer if you're interested. First a Detroit disclaimer, lol.
MLK is located just outside of downtown and is a fairly nice/safe area. I'm born and raised in metro-Detroit and I tell people ALL the time, downtown Detroit is seriously a nice spot. Great restaurants and bars, nice riverfront across from Windsor, Canada; I've worked downtown for the past 10 years.
Detroit is one of the largest cities in the country by area; downtown in and of itself, and the University District aka "Midtown" (near Wayne State University) is not very large, maybe a few square miles, but has really solid nightlife and is most definitely safe; just like any other large city, just be smart and stay on the "beaten path." All the bad news you hear/read is from the neighborhoods no where near downtown Detroit. The notorious "8 Mile Road" is like 20 minutes away from the heart of the city....that's an example of where all the crime you read about is occurring.
Now to football: The Detroit Public School league is pretty competitive. Cass Tech is probably the best-known as a scUM/MSU( and B1G, in general) feeder program. MLK dominated this year and Moore was a big reason for that. Cass Tech is actually D1, MLK is D3 (it goes by total enrollment numbers in MI), and they knocked off Cass Tech 41-34 this past fall.
Not sure there are any teammates we could try to package; MLK puts about 4-5 players to D1 every year, usually MAC schools. He has one teammate, Jonathan Slack (IOL), who committed to MSU but otherwise most of his teammates are MAC prospects. One EDGE player does have a Cincy offer.
You dirty SOBUnless we hear about Vizzina cancelling his visit before the weekend, I'm going to bet on him being the QB in this class for us as well. Honestly, the way last year went, I just want one in the fold sooner than later. I like both of them well enough that I wouldn't be mad with either one of them committing.
Insert Homer backing into bushes gifYou dirty SOB
I’m taking it at face value. Rees has failed to close, more often than not.Tom is really sounding positive. Keeps saying they just need to close, which I'm taking as he just needs to announce his commitment.
Thats fair. Ive just seen Tom do this before with other kids who eventually commit. Im reading it as Tom already has a commit story written up.I’m taking it at face value. Rees has failed to close, more often than not.
Keep up the good work on the podcast btwI’m taking it at face value. Rees has failed to close, more often than not.
I think Moore always planned to visit LSU and other schools. I’m all for uncommitted recruits taking visits. I’d rather them do it now than do what Keeley and Bowen are doing. So Chris cancelled his visit to ND the same weekend Moore is heading to LSU? Some of these visits are planned months in advance but at face value doesn't look great for ND overall. Wonder if he'll get the dance.
Just strange ISD has never mentioned this since they update any/all on Moore. I think they're slipping behind 247 in regards to recruiting developments. They're strength is in the breakdowns/member interactions.I think Moore always planned to visit LSU and other schools. I’m all for uncommitted recruits taking visits. I’m not a subscriber to ISD, but Loy and II do a fantastic job of keeping their members up to date with everything.Just strange ISD has never mentioned this since they update any/all on Moore. ISD isn't what it used to be... They are usually late on most things when it comes to recruiting.I’m not a subscriber to ISD, but Loy and II do a fantastic job of keeping their members up to date with everything.
I don’t think LSU is the only school Moore plans on visiting.

Solid on practice intel and game breakdowns though.
They didn't specify LSU or that it was happening next week. And if this has long been planned you'd think they'd call that one out specifically given the BK connection and that it's a big, upcoming visit. Not quite true. They had articles of Dante's family talking about taking a sweep of southern visits just in the past couple of weeks. Not sure if they specified LSU, but they definitely had word of him taking southern visits.
neither Cass or MLK would have students fitting the ND profile thoughSorry for the long post, but I'm happy to answer if you're interested. First a Detroit disclaimer, lol.
