We needed someone to step up and say what you want, he did something on the final drive. Whether he was ready or not by your opinion, he did some to help with the game.
Yeah, big drop early but made a big play late(db fell down)!

I think he’ll be ok, he just doesn’t have much speed or quickness

While it’s good to have an all-around perspective here, which you have, he’s a freshman.

I don’t think he will ever be the truly elite #1, but I see him potentially as a dependable #2 guy as his ceiling.

I know where are missing “a guy” out wide, but I’ll take him being a solid player during his career. Every college roster needs a solid player.

Guys
Rico just played damn near every snap of the game.... and I'm not even sure if he knows the whole playbook yet.
Let's cut him a little slack ...

Kirk did a good job of pointing out too that Flores running a crisp route opened up Evans multiple times. Given Evans game today, we’ll take the impact even if he only had a catch or two

No one is comparing Rico to being a number 1 receiver who is going to take the top off the defense. He runs really good routes for a freshman has good size and body control. He will end up being a really good possession receiver once we have more pieces around him

Not a great game last night for him but the kid is a baller. He works hard running his routes. I think he is going to have a great career. You get a player like Cam Williams with Greathouse. Hopefully stone hands proves most of us wrong and starts to develop. I'm thinking Rico could be a A. St Brown type player. I'm not saying he will be that good but he could have that type of roll.

Yeah, if anyone is criticizing Rico after getting thrust into the starting role early, they need to take a step back. Hopefully our boys heal up quick and Rico can get some more time to develop, but give him credit for being forced into a big role in a night game on the road against one of the toughest defenses in college football.

Bump for those that don’t think this guy is a playmaker.
I was on the hype train before the season as well

If viewing the videos objectively with what we know now, it shows a wr not able to get separation from a db that gives up separation to other teams wrs

With ability to make contested catch. Just don’t want to make throws in game like that

Or just post the last drive vs Duke where he made a huge grab and run down the middle of the field. I know he had to feel good about contributing when it mattered most. Bright future.

When someone posts a video trying to show how good he is, when it actually shows exactly the issue with saturday night, film don't lie.

He made great catches no doubt against a DB that isn't playing that well. Those balls aren't thrown in a game because he's not even close to being open.

It's not just about that post/opinion. It's every single thread. Even when you say something positive it is followed by multiple negatives. Like I said, it is just exhausting...

Can you explain physically why Rico wasn't a 5 star recruit?
