Going to be so pissed if we waste these guys
I'm all for passing when the D is loaded up against run, but throwing it beyond the line of scrimmage would've been nice.Already did week 1
I'd go with Leonard Moore. I realize he's not NFL eligible, but you have to keep your young studs well-compensated if you don't want them to hop in the portal. Actually, scratch that. CJ should be first priority, IMO.This is the one player I want to get NIL to stay. I know it’s slim but one can hope.

Oh, Jesus. Very nice award/accomplishment, but if ever there was a name to urge RBs to end their college and pro careers as early as possible, it's Earl Campbell. For those unaware, Earl was an extremely bruising runner, and he is in extremely fucked up shape. His problems are too long to mention and perhaps not 100% attributable to football, but they are mostly attributable to football. Fortunately, he did end his career early after eight pro seasons, but I'm not sure he could be in worse condition without being dead.

Probably around 3, I think. He's super talented, but RB value isn't as high as it used to be.SIAP but what round would Price be drafted if he keeps this up?
If so, he will be hard to keep, even with lots of NILProbably around 3, I think. He's super talented, but RB value isn't as high as it used to be.
I don't think NIL will be enough. So bring him back with big $.
Middle of the second to the third. Around where RJ Harvey and Kaleb Johnson went last year.SIAP but what round would Price be drafted if he keeps this up?
Looked easy too.
Absolutely. He's been more patient trying to find the hole instead of constantly trying to bounce it outside. It's led to more consistent gains on top of his ability to break big runs. Not only that, but he had a big catch for 35 yards on a little swing pass, so maybe he can be a receiving threat too. If he continues to hone his catching he'll improve his draft stock. Now he just has to work on his blocking. He’s been every part the equal of Love running the ball this year.
I, for one, cannot wait for the inevitable Price or Love RB angle route against some poor linebacker for a house call.Absolutely. How many RBs get to a second contract in the NFL?Yeah, as much as I would love him back, he needs to go pro. It's not about the money he can make this year vs his rookie season, it's about getting a second contract ASAP. As a RB he only has so man carries in the tank. Let him go to the League and tear it up and be further recruiting fuel for us.
Well, you have to produce in the NFL. Most of those guys didn't. Not necessarily an indictment on their talent levels, sometimes it's about injury luck, team you're drafted by, scheme fit, etc.How many RBs get to a second contract in the NFL?
How many of our RBs over the last say 15 years that went pro with eligibility left got dropped from the league while they still had plenty of tread left on the tyres. I would say Adams and Procise are obvious ones. Dexter Williams and Jones are done with plenty of tread left but at least they don't have any eligibility left. Its starting to look like Estime should have had a 4th year either at ND or elsewhere and got more money. Kyren Williams is about the only one flying the flag for leaving early.
NIL changes the math somewhat compared with most of these, but RBs have short careers, and most of those guys spent at least one good season as our RB1. Can’t really begrudge them going pro when they had a shot - no matter how well they ultimately did in the NFL.How many RBs get to a second contract in the NFL?

I think Price is a better back than Estime with better top end speed, he runs harder, and has better vision. Estime sometimes looked like Tarzan but ran like Jane and danced around too much because he either lacked the vision or couldn't commit to holes.Honestly a good point in the NIL era. Audric is buried on the Eagles practice squad behind 4 other RBs. He’s likely not going to get a carry this year, and only make $230k, likely less than half he could have got at ND in 2024.
RB is just really really tough, and for a unicorn like J Love it’s still always going to make sense, but JD isn’t a sure thing to get a multi-year second contract. Can definitely make the argument he should take the $1M+ he could get at ND and then turn pro.
Treveyon Henderson basically had the same decision to make after 2023 and chose the extra year. It’s not unprecedented.
