They list him at 6-6 275 and many here say he's too small. I'll confess not following this guy since no one thought we were getting him. He can certainly put on the weight, that's one of the easiest things to do. Is he not 6-6? Is he even close?

So what's the deal with his "lack" of size? Certainly the staff knows how big he really is.

I think it’s rooted in that picture he took next to Goodwin where he legit look 4+ inches shorter and 50 pounds lighter.

This is a question, not a negative Nancy comment…does this push Schrauth to Wisconsin?
Everything I’ve heard is he wants to go to ND but all the family and local drama is stopping that. With 4 OL commits already, does this give him a reason to go to Wisky over ND since it’s so razor thin right now?

This is a shocker- welcome to ND and congrats to Aamil.

This ND staff is doing a hell of a job with this class. Imagine if they get Singleton to flip.

I love this. I think he has ability to play outside, but honestly could be a swing player and makes our landing of Scrauth a bonus at this point.

It's going to be okay.

Cool. Looking like a really good OL class now.
As for too small I just saw a mock draft that has an OL from Iowa at 6-3 and 290 going in the top 10.

Driskell is pretty meh on Wagner.

He was meh on Alt too. He thought Quinn failed at recruiting that class & had to settle for Alt. He made the comment multiple times that a two man class (Fisher & Spindler) was a failure because the backend was average at best. His hatred for Quinn destroys any credibility he has with judging OL. Fisher blocked him on Twitter his Senior year because the players & families of OL were sick of Driskell’s crap.

He's a HS senior who is 6-5/6-6 and 265. Why are people sweating this on a college football board? Surely we know how this can typically work? I think Ryan Harris weighed less than that and he started as a true freshman and spent a decade in the NFL.

Is there something I'm missing?

I still think Koonja is Driskell

The Dad said that Alt is now over 300 lbs and that was a couple of months ago.

On Wagner, I'm not getting the weight issue.

When Tyron Smith was being recruitied from Rancho Cucomonga to USC he was listed at 6'5" 250
Wagner is listed at 6'6" 265. that's not a bad launch point.

Plus it is 2021
Notre Dame has climbed the ladder of sophistication in

NUTRITION (did we even have one ten years ago?)

Tyron Smith that is the analog.

Further, we just got a sneak peek at a press release

APRIL, 2024

Offensive line U, Notre Dame, just had its bookends, starting tackles Blake Fisher and Joe Alt drafted #3 and #4. While Alt played right tackle, he was drafted to play left tackle.

Both had been captains, and it is unusual that captains leave early.

But, flanked by Fisher and Alt, newly minted head coach Marcus Freeman said

"We had lengthy discussions with Blake and Joe, and we felt we were comfortable with them moving on, and I was joined in those discusssions by Offensive Coordinator, Assisant Head Coach and GrandMaster Tom Rees and Offensive line coach Dough Marrone ": Blake........Yeah we felt okay with moving on because we were highly confident that Tyron Smith clone Aamil Wagner, now 6'7 312 poounds, and Ty Chan, now 6'6 322 pounds are ready to take over and lead Sedric Irvin and Justice Haynes to another season where each gain 1,000 yards on the ground." Yeah, they been Balissed.

Joe: Well, Blake that might be right, but Kadyn Proctor may be ready to make his move and will be trying to push Aamil and Ty to a backup role.

Watching this, head coach Freeman and Rees just smiled.

"It's happening," they both thought

Think big Lads. Sorin Did Corby did. Rock did Leahy did Ara Did Devine did.

If you're inflicted with smallthink or fear, well, you may be more suited for Ann Arbor.

The weak, the timid, the fearful need not apply.

Rasputin is pretty meh on Driskell. Driskell likes to hawk merch on his site. Rasputin think Bryan should sell IB fanny packs. He could market them as "Coach D bags".

More vodka shots for everyone!

I think he just has the same concerns about his size that many do. He's also convinced OSU passed.

Just got done watching his senior film. I really like him. Still some work to do, but he seemed to improve week to week.
