Super, but the whole "side arm delivery" is a bit of concern is it not?

Anyone else suspect that it could be an injury that forced him to drop his arm slot? Or do you think it is just bad coaching? I am not one to jump to hystarics, but this is such an obvious change that SOMETHING is going on.

I wish we could get an update from the staff/Tommy R or something, anything.
Sage R, called it "almost side arm"

Whatever his natural motion is, is best regardless if it's over the top, three quarters or sidearm. It's worked up until now. No need to fix what isn't broken.

Ummm, what was working was much more over the top. His former coach even said that Tyler changed his delivery.

I must have missed the part where these guys played better OUTSIDE THE POCKET...

So you've gone the past 13 years without watching Rodgers and past three without watching Mahomes? You're really missing out man, because they are legitimately better outside of the pocket.

Both of their abilities to stretch out plays and hit HRs is uncanny.

Wait, you think those guys are better inside the pocket, than out?

Lol
Rivers is a maybe (side arm as heck though)
Rodgers and Mahomes make their money with their legs

No. My point was that there is a legit concern with TB's current mechanics and the most endearing thing Wiltfong could say is he's dangerous outside the pocket. We all thought Wimbush would light up the world because he was dangerous outside the pocket, but alas turns out he was a terrible passer. My hope is that TB =/= BW, but the writing could be on the wall if TB doesn't dump his QB coach and ditch the new motion.

Or maybe the new motion will work for him?

As in, my point.

Rivers, Rodgers, Mahomes (Lamar)...there's more than one way to throw a football. He doesn't automatically have to be a BW or PJ

I don't think BW's mobility and TB's ability to throw on the run are the same threat. I don't recall too many dimes thrown by BW on the move. He prefered to take off and pick up yards with his feet.

No one is comparing TB to Rodgers or Mahomes, but their ability to improvise, extend plays and make plays down the field on the move with their arm is certainly something we've seen glimpses of from TB in his film and during camp highlights. He throws an extremely accurate ball while on the move.

This.

Night and day different from BW.
One was tuck and run, the other is a slide out extend, throw on the run.
BW was more similar to a young (healthy) Luck who would tuck and run than a Mahomes, Rodgers, Wilson, etc. The angled release is about the only similarity share atm.

The BW PTSD is real. If it makes you feel better, watch Brandon's HS tape and then TBs. Extremely different style of play.

Remember how we called PJ 5 star Phil?

I submit for IE approval, we call TB the San Diego Submariner or Tyler Bradford

Your thoughts?

Early returns are not in favor of this being the case...

Re-watch is HS film and tell me you still feel this way.

According to Driskell on his latest podcast with John Garcia from SI All American, the coach that TB was working with when the arm angle changed is no longer coaching him.

The last we've publicly heard from Tyler he was still working with Taylor Kelly and didn't view it as an issue. Either that changed or Driskell is running with bad info. I don't know the answer.
